Varsity in Atlanta has NOTHING on Gus' slaw dogs all the way. I just and two and wanna run back over just to drop more money in your tip jar. way to go! Slaw dogs all the way for the win!
The special sauce on Gus Hot dogs is what makes those loving hot dogs enjoy. The BLT sandwich and the variety of beverages is my reason.

A city Icon!! I ordered a Plant based hot dog topped with sauerkraut. My hubby ordered regular hot dogs. We need to support our oldest and dedicated downtown shops.
The staff were GREAT! They were personable and precise. They ensured that the food was prepared perfectly per your every request. EVERYTHING that we ordered was DELICIOUS (hot dog, cheeseburgers & fried bologna)! We were visiting Birmingham from the ATL. We will ALWAYS return to Gus' Hot Dogs on any future visits to this city...
On our 1st visit to Birmingham, we found the BEST hot dogs and burgers in downtown. The young men cooking and serving the food were professional and accommodating. It's worth the short walk from the hotel!!
Great little burger and hamburger Cafe. It was my first time there and I highly recommend it and will do my best to come back when I visit Birmingham. Excellent customer service and very friendly staff. And everything on the menu is still at pre-biden prices ??
Per locals, the is the spot for a great hot dog, and a burger. I must agree. Wonderful, quick delicious. I ordered the hamburger with everything! Yummy! #TEAMSMILEY
