My family had another wonderful meal at Gianmarcos. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. (And very good at selecting wine based on our tastes.) Absolutely everything we had was superb. We had the Fiocchi purse pasta, calamari and the eggplant special appetizers. All three were excellent but the fiocchi was outstanding! My son had the soft shell crab and loved it. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs and was thrilled. I had the Fred Flintstone sized veal chop Parmesan with a side of rigatoni and was delighted. Our deserts were the flourless chocolate torte, bombolini and trio gelato. All spectacular. Thank you for another memorable dining experience!!

Exclusive little restaurant in quite neighborhood. Crowded for a Monday night dinner. This is by means not a quiet place, pretty loud atmosphere (extremely loud table next to us, literally ears were hurting).Street side parking is free. On-site valet parking available.Food was decent, Penne Vodka is spot on. Eggplant permesan, and Ricotta & Mozzarella Ravioli are decent. Fiocchi was OK, didn't quite like it.I would say 3.5 ?We had better experience @Amore for sure

Great experience and our waitress was amazing!! We sat outside in the wine bar.

We came here because of the great reviews this place had. We were in town for work and when we arrived we were asked if we had reservations. We did not as we didn’t know we needed it. The place was pretty full and we were told they would try to accommodate us. Sure enough they did not disappoint. Within 10 min we were seated. This place serves amazing food, has great ambience and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall had a great experience.

The wine bar with Josh and Eva and Bailey is our go-to when we want a fun evening out with amazing food and excellent service.

Got takeout from here for my bday. Called at 5, told to pick up at 5:30. Was told upon placing order to park out front in curbside parking and someone would take our payment and bring out order. Pulled up at 5:33 due to traffic. Parked in curbside parking. Valet man in front told us that they knew we were there and someone would be with us shortly. Ten minutes later, nothing. So I called and was told they had no idea we were there and had checked out front and that no one was there. Informed them we were literally in front of their building in curbside parking. Finally someone comes out and apologized and said he could not see us due to us being in a smaller car and parked next to a larger suv. Didn’t make the effort to check each parking spot that had a curbside parking sign and assumed no one was there. He apologized and took our payment. We waited and waited again, no food and now they had our money. Another guy checked on us and we asked for a manager. Never came. At six o’clock the other guy finally brought our $80 order out and listened to our disappointment and while he was polite and did apologize it was still disappointing. Maybe the dine in experience is better but this experience makes me not want to return. Finally got home and ate. The cheesecake was delicious. The mushroom ravioli was ok. The tiramisu was ok. My husband loved the shrimp alfredo. For the price and all overall though, probably won’t return. Too many other places have quality food AND good service. The guy that took our order was super nice and helpful though…

The food and the service were outstanding. We had the Paccheri Bolognese and the Seafood Risotto. Both dishes were fantastic. For dessert we had the tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was outstanding.

Always a favorite of ours when we visit Birmingham. The service is always top notch and the food is delicious. For Valentine's we had the Asian scallops and Ribeye. Drinks came out super fast. For apps we had Goat Cheese and Watermelon and it was amazing! Definitely try it!Valet was great and they do have change.Unfortunately, there is a 3.5% charge now for credit cards, but I will still return every year for date night.

This is a gem of a restaurant! The staff was very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. I went on a Monday and they were steady busy and well worth the drive. The duck spring rolls were AMAZING, and i had the rigatoni for main dish which was delicious also

This place is an absolute joke in terms of “fine dining.” I had gone before for a company dinner and thought it would be a nice treat for my husbands birthday. (As long as he got the parm the food would be worth it.)I made a reservation a MONTH in advance. A week later I called to up the number of people. No answer. I called again that week, no answer. This continued for 3 weeks. (All in their hours of operation.) When I finally got ahold of someone they told me they couldn’t not accommodate because they had booked bigger parties for the same night and did not have space. Then told me I “should have called sooner.” I mentioned my number of efforts. When I asked why no one was answering my calls and the answer was “I don’t know.” Did I mention you can’t leave a voicemail either? When I asked about moving the reservation I was told no. When I asked to talk to talk to someone else, I was also told no and was hung up on. Extremely disappointed and will never return.
