Came for a Father's Day celebration left full and satisfied. The food was tasty and service was great. I recommend making reservations or getting there early because wait time can be long, but the food was so worth it. My favorite was the creaminess of the grits. My family who had chicken and waffles stated they were the best chicken tenders they have had. Can't wait to come back :)!
I’ve been into trying brunch places because I just love breakfast food but normally not out early enough to enjoy it. I let my son pick today, and he wanted to go to the Flying Biscuit because “that’s a funny name!” And my oh my, maybe I should let him pick every time or maybe we’ll just go back to the flying biscuit!Y’all, the food was outstanding. The service was outstanding! I got an omelet and it was stuffed full of meat, onions, and cheese. Yum! The potatoes were delectable. But.. those biscuits. ? I could have made myself sick eating those fluffy biscuits. My son got the French toast and it was so flavorful, too!I can hardly wait to go back and try something different.
The food was Great!!! We went here around noon, there was a wait but I found out that you can get on the waiting list if you log into Yelp. I had the pancake tacos with moon dusted potatoes, I could only eat one of them. Someone else had the cheese cake stuffed French toast and my girlfriend had the bacon and egg breakfast. No complaints
The waitress was very friendly and courteous. She made some great suggestions and all our food was ready within reasonable time. I had the Stuffed French toast breakfast with peach and pineapple mimosas. The food was delicious, the service was great and my stomach was overjoyed.
Ate outside even though it was chilly as there was an hour and a half wait for a table inside (Sunday late morning). They had tall heaters, but not sure they were working. Regardless the waiter was fabulous, not a long wait for food, and it was delicious. Had pancakes and turkey bacon, another member of my party a grit bowl, and a third the strawberry cheesecake French toast with a side of potatoes. All three of us thought it was really good. Much better than my first visit so very glad I gave it another go. Will definitely go back especially when it gets a bit warmer.
The flying biscuit Birmingham was par for breakfast. The menu was extensive (way too many options). Took us forever to decide. The wait wasn’t too long and the food was decent. The apple butter for the biscuits and the moon dust on the potatoes were the highlight of our meal.
First time I visited I had their chicken and waffles. This time I tried the hangover hash. It was delish. Just wish they included more black bean salsa with the dish. Also, the biscuits.........If you haven't tried one, please do. Can't go wrong with it. I am finish eating those biscuits before I even start! They melt in your mouth!
So Saturday was a great day! I finally got a chance to visit and have breakfast at the much-talked-about Flying Biscuit Cafe! ? I should have visited by now, but dreaded the wait time. ??The cafe is very nice. From the outside it look small; however, this is not the case. The cafe is large in size. It has outdoor, patio and bar seating. My wait time was right around 45 minutes. It was worth the wait, as the service was good and my food was really good! I had the old tried-and-true Chicken and Waffles. ?My best friend had the make- your- own- grit Bowl. She also had a Bloody Mary drink, but not your typical bloody mary, but one with "chicken tender" and some type of cheese ball dipped in the drink along with okra and olives! ?She said it was good, but IDK! (see pics) Anywho, if you have not tried the Flying Biscuit make a trip over to the Shops at the Colonnade and have breakfast! Oh yea, just to report, I didn't see any biscuits flying around the restaurant!?

Passing through on way home and found this on google search. I love breakfast food and hard to find a great one but this place topped it off. Best grits I have ever ever eaten. I'm picky about my grits cause I'm a southern girl. The biscuits are good too not dry or gummy. Bacon good and crisp. Waffle came out hot which is a miracle cause they go cold quick very impressed with that. Our server was very chipper and sweet great personality for the job which is rare also. The place was very busy they have definitely outgrown their place very poplar. Overall great place and I am telling everyone about it. Wish we had one in Mississippi!!!
