The best Falafel in Town. No doubt. Very authentic and tastes great. The Pita Falafel sandwich is very fulfilling and the size of their falafels can keep you full for half a day. Great place for Falafels in Birmingham.
This was a great surprise. We came into town for an appointment and just googled restaurants in the area. Everything tasted so yummy. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, grape leaves, baba ganoush, and falafels. Before we left we had to have pistachio baklava which was to die for. Our next trip to Birmingham we will stop here again.
For such a highly rated place I sure was expecting more and left a bit disappointed. The falafel was tasty and had some nice spice to it, but it was nothing out of ordinary or memorable. The ambiance of the restaurant is very low key, I asked for a plate for sit in and they packaged it to go.. while I was eating there, the staff behind the counter were - what seemed to be - arguing with their manager on their cleaning shifts right in front of customers. Service just ok.
Some of the best falafel I’ve had. The Jerusalem salad wasn’t good. Maybe it had gone bad? Chicken schwarma was also great.
Great food probably some of the best in town must try
Every time we are in town we come here and it never disappoints! Great pita, phenomenal meat, reasonably priced, and the sauces bring the whole dish together.
Used to taste great, but now prices super high and food quality wayyy lower than it used to especially the rice and chicken shawarma. Many people have agreed with me and we stopped going there. I wish they could bring back the quality they had when they first opened. SadI gave it a second try today and it’s actually getting even worse.
On our way to Texas and passing by Alabama, my wife and I were craving for falafels that were made in the first circle, rainbow street in Amman, Jordan. Searching through the google map, we found this “Falafel Cafe” near the university of Alabama. And the taste of falafels, grape leaves, and sherwama were so authentic that brought back the memory of our time when we were working in the Middle East.
I have visited here about 3 times, and the food is good.
I got the butter chicken plate with lentil rice, Jerusalem salad, cabbage, hummus, and garlic sauce on top. WOW! It was the best Mediterranean food I've ever had, by a long shot. I highly recommend it!
