Vegans BEWARE! Order the Vegan Chick’un Sandwich and was given and bit into a real chicken sandwich. I told an employee and he said that it was vegan. I wasn’t convinced so I had a friend try it and they confirmed that it was in-fact real chicken. As a strict vegetarian this was a very disturbing experience. Employees should be careful of what they serve to their customers if they are going to have vegan options. Never again.
Eugene's Hot Chicken is a perfect restaurant. The chicken is delicious. The line might be long but it is worth the wait. We enjoyed the environment as well. The salad was fresh and scrumptious. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. I recommend you trying them anytime you want some delectable fried chicken.
The food was amazing…I can’t say enough about how delicious the chicken was. The staff was super nice too. We are going back for more.
This place is such a cute hole in the wall! A little on the expensive side, but I understand why given the location. Probably the best chicken I’ve ever tasted. I’ll be coming back!

We were here for an event at the convention center for the weekend. There were other events going on, so got here during their lunch rush on a Saturday. There was a long line when we got there around 1pm. It's a small dine-in area so we decided to bring the food back to our hotel around the corner to eat. Waited awhile for the food but they gave us two extra sides for the wait. Got the half bird (hot) plus 2 extra thighs. It is on the spicy side but ask for the kickback and white sauce. Chicken portion is generous. Both Mac and cheese and collard greens were much better than I had expected. It gets messy so be sure to have extra napkins on hand.
One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The bun got a bit soggy, but the chicken was tender and Delicious. I went with hot heat, but I might go the next heat level up next time. So tasty I forgot to use any of the comeback sauce. Friendly staff and definitely recommend.
Best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. Very well seasoned, amazing staff, and large portions. I had eaten most of the fish in the photo, and there was still so much. Even though there were a crazy amount of customers the staff were still very friendly, and very fast! I will definitely be coming back.
First visit was the Friday night of kami-con.net convention.The place is packed. After waiting about 20-30 after order was placed. I received only part of my order (was missing sides).... After seeing the portions of sides I was disappointed. Then I took my first bite of the tenders sandwich. I ordered hot? and was questioning how hot was hot to me. To the taste, it wasn't too much heat but I could feel the hotness. Then trying the greens and baked beans I was overwhelmed with a flavor that was surprisingly familiar. The greens tasted like a family recipe, yet a little spicier, the beans were good but very saucy.The next night we went for the whole bird with sides. Again the same issue with the sides(they compensated us with a gift card for the purchase amount, great guest service I'd say). Ordered all the pieces hot and one piece "stupid hot". With no side items, we are just the ?. And I'd like to think it was better the next night. I had the tenders on the first visit(go for the bone in chicken, and the whole bird is the best value), and felt I beat myself when I tried the bone-in. The stupid hot is very tolerable eating but is hot coming out.Can't say enough about going here for fried chicken(if you like fried foods, chicken). Easily some of the best chicken in the area. Granted I'm from GA(Marietta) and not there locally, Eugene's Hot Chicken ??Definitely some fye(good) they're serving in that kitchen. Friendly staff, happy to help you. I enjoyed it so much I took some home to GA with me.Thank you for a great dining experience for my "con" weekend. Look forward to visiting again!
