I have eaten in Greese, Turkey and the promised land. I have never experienced such POOR FOOD PREPARATION IN MY LIFE. Lintel soup was dush rag soup, also had the misfortune of trying Beef / lamb over rice. No lamb, beef as dry as kindling. $32.00 totally wasted. Can nit figure out where the good reviews. Family or employees. Worst excuse for food in Birmingham

The food was exceptional. Think of it as international comfort food. The staff was very friendly and professional. There were many choices for those with gluten allergies.

Excellent food and service! My family and I love to eat at Eli's. We also love to treat our friends and family to a wonderful meal at Eli's, as well.

The food was amazing!! Owner and staff were very friendly! Will be returning!! They serve Kunefe!! ?

Great experience. The highlights are definitely the falafel, tabouleh, and pitot, so this is a great place to take vegetarian friends. The kefta is also good, but if you aren’t a fan of lamb, stick to the other meat options rather than kefta. Service was great and friendly as well.

I ordered the lamb chops with red cabbage salad and half rice & couscous as did my friend & my husband had the lamb kebabs. The lamb was very pale colored and very fatty—not a true lamb chop. The yellow rice, the couscous and salads were tasteless—the watery green hot sauce did not help the bland food & the tahini sauce didn’t help it either! Hummus is far better with lamb than tahini! Which they did not serve. Salads had no real dressing on them—tasteless—considering it is super expensive to eat there but the quality is not there. I am very disappointed, considering I took my friend there for her birthday!! I am not returning—the pictures of their food looks soo colorful & good online! Nothing like in their restuarant! Go to Olive Branch—much tastier food and a much better price!!!

We decided last second to eat here. I would recommend this great place. We had two plates. 1 beef, chicken, lamb plate and 1 vegetarian plate. There was enough food to feed an army. And it was all so delicious. Such a great find. We will be coming again when we pass through.

Food was delicious ?. Only 2 sauces available. Wish there was more to choose from. Service was excellent! Staff very friendly and gave great recommendations of food choices.

The combination meal was great! The Pita bread was fresh along with the Tabbouleh salad. I will return to try more items on the menu.

Authentic Jewish food. A hole in the wall look from the outside with a walk up and order style of service. Expect to pay $8-$15 per plate with a hefty portion size. Definitely somewhere out of the norm travel spots but worth it if you're coming to Birmingham.
