My favorite rum bar! I normally go to Cayo on a Friday night as it is a nice environment to decompress your week with friends and grab great food and drinks. My favorite of the small plates are the empanadas and they are so delicious and topped with bright garnish and flavors. The decor and seating is definitely instagramworthy , so make sure to get some great pictures. The staff are so welcoming and nice I definitely recommend you to try this spot if you ever visit Birmingham, Alabama ☺️
While attending the Opening Ceremony for the World Games 2022 in Birmingham, before we caught the shuttle to the stadium, we decided to grab a bite to eat. We stopped in at Cay Coco and all of us ended up ordering the tacos. Let me tell you......these were the best tacos we ever had! We were really taken aback because we are always eating at Mexican Restaurants but we all agreed that these were the best tacos we've ever eaten. The drinks were excellent as well. I definitely will be going back to try other items on their menu.

Went here with my wife and young daughter. They treated her really well and even made her a special virgin Pina colada. We made it through appetizers but my daughter was ready to get out of there. We will be back. Super chill venue. Great vibes!
This is a beautiful restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were delicious!
Excellent! Delicious, high quality, perfectly executed menu! The Mexican hot chocolate brownie may have been the best dessert I’ve ever had.
The atmosphere was sooo great loved the decor of the entire setting. The service was a 10/10! The cocktails were the best definitely can see myself coI can just for drink. For the small plate we tried the Polynesian Pork belly the taste was something to make your heart sing. Got our entrees we had the Grilled Duroc Pork Porterhouse and Joyce Farm’s Seared Duck Breast both meals had us speechless. Perfect for date night or catching a nice meal or drinks with friends.
Beautiful evening. Incredible service. We came in maybe about 20 minutes until close and they welcomed us with such open arms and were friendly enough to let us take our time.The Hemingway daiquiri isn’t on the menu but definitely is not to be missed here. I cannot say enough about the gorgeous glassware used here but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. 10/10 would recommend and come back again!
5 stars from the non vegans and 3-4 stars from the vegans. The plantain chips are excellent and the off the menu vegan item is pictured here…mixed veggies.
Best cocktails in town! If you love mojitos like I do - this is the place to go. The staff is beyond welcoming and the atmosphere is amazing.You HAVE to try the food as well!
