Nice ice cream shop with a variety of flavors. The only 3 flavors they consistently have is vanilla, chocolate and cookies and creme, the rest of the flavors are seasonal and always changing. The staff are very friendly and prices are reasonable at $3.75 for one scoop in a cup.
What a great little ice-cream shop in an arts-centric building. Their flavors are quite creative while being rich and flavorful. I had the lemon mint sorbet and it was perfect — light, bright, and refreshing. It’s a little space, so plan on eating outside. But they have a nice space outside with some seating.
We're from out of town and wanted to try the banana split we read about in the reviews. I guess we are banana split "purist" and didn't realize it until we had this "style" of banana split. It has a unique flavor but nothing like a true banana split. The ice cream was vanilla and to me just "okay" vanilla. Certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone that loves classic banana split.
Haven't been in an ice cream shop for around two years (you know why) so the aroma on entering took me back a step! Got two scoops, one goat milk strawberry, and one vanilla bean. Very good.
Big Spoon Creamery is so good! My wife and I have visited both locations on Birmingham! We don't buy ice cream often, but we do when we travel to Birmingham. Our favorite flavor combination is "Magic City." It is soooo satisfying and delicious! Sorry, I don't have picture of it.
The SWEETEST staff ever! This was our first visit and the staff was so patient and kind and explained flavors and gave us samples. Just a really great experience!
Love this place. The ice cream is really good. I also like the homemade cones. I had the berry crumble and the bananas foster today. Both were amazing.
Really great ice cream. Clearly something superior to store bought and unique. I recommend the half flight so that you can get several flavors. The scoops are pretty large so I would start small

One of the best icecream shop in Birmingham.They keep changing and adding new flavors regularly.Must try it when you are around.
