Small but distinctive menu. Great atmosphere. We had the moscarpone and prosciutto pizza and Bolognese pasta. Both are absolutely fantastic. Service was somewhat slow but on par with what you'd expect with a full restaurant.
The best Italian Restaurant in Birmingham, I am from Europe myself and have traveled all over but this place has the best Italian food I have had in a while in the whole south, delicious pasta, pizza and bread. The service and location is at its finest. The waiter Tyler made everything even better with his service, would recommend 100%.
Loved it. Its a little pricey for what you may think of for Italian, but it's the ingredients, the process!! Hand made pasta and sauces, unique apps and cocktails. All sourced fresh. And the best service ever. Ask for Gabbie!!
Had a bad experience ten years ago with a terrible server and food poisoning. Returned and had a wonderful meal, great service. Totally redeemed itself and we will go back. New dining room (to me) is spacious and the noise level is low despite the open seating.
Dined with my party of 11. Food was fantastic as was the service! I ordered the fish. I live in New Orleans and my meal rivaled anything I’ve had in Nola! Really amazing!
We set off to eat at another Italian restaurant downtown and were turned away after an inconsistent reservation policy on their outdoor space. What began as a sad evening out turned wonderful as we dined at Bettola instead!The pasta at Bettola was done perfectly, the service was attentive and sweet, the pizza delicious, and most of all, as out of town, outdoor diners we were welcomed. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will be recommending your great restaurant to friends.
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to. Atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting. Was able to talk and conversation with my fiancé with no issues of not being able to hear her or be interrupted by anything. Drink selection is also very good. Would definitely recommend this restaurant
Food was excellent, service and ambience missed the mark.I made the reservation largely because of the patio space. When we arrived they had two 2 top tables literally in the doorway and they seated us at one of them. I asked the hostess for a different open table but she was less than accommodating. Eventually with the help of our server we were moved to a more comfortable table. It seemed we weren't the only people experiencing seating issues.We had the biatola pizza which was incredible, and the rigatoni which was also excellent. Overall I strongly recommend requesting to *not* be seated in the doorway when making your reservation. In the future I would be more likely to order to go from here than to try to make a reservation.
A lack of ambiance. Noisy and staff were hurried and self absorbed. Had a party of four. They gave us four small pieces of bread. The pizza was good. My pasta with white sauce was tasty. However, I expected a vegetable or salad with it. Didn’t get it. A disappointing evening meal, overall.
Food and service was absolutely amazing, would recommend to take a date or friend here.
