Baba Java is a nice little coffeehouse in Hoover. Great coffee and nice place to sit and read. Good scones and other pastry treats too.Top 3 books: "Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster; "Story of Trojan Records" by Laurence Honeysett and "This Is How You Lose The Time War" by Amal El Mothar.

Not in the best location for my normal travels but worth the detour. Approachable shop and staff with spectacular brews. Cramped shop at busy times if you need a place to study but easy to park and walk in to get what you need. Delicious cup of black coffee my normal order and meter of a good shop and this is a great one.
Nice little cafe near Hoover.I am a big fan of the Camel Latte! The service has always been fast and pleasant.The staff treated me with respect when I came in a little close to closing time.Definitely come check this place out!
the inside was unlike any other with a minimally invasive atmosphere. easy to read, study, or chill in. this was some of the best coffee i’ve ever had. i recommend it highly if you’re in the hoover area.
Nice small coffee shop, with great customer service. Clean inside and outside, great environment to set down for little bit. There coffee latte amazing.
Another favorite coffee place. This one because it’s close to my home and the people and their passion about coffee and the coffee shop experience.This time I met w/ my lady Ms. Bonnie and we got the lemon blueberry scone and orange cranberry scones. Bonnie is a breve chic and I had a matcha latte. There were just a few moments of silence as we mmmmm’d those scones away! And every time I visit here, it’s so productive!! Bread and his peeps Sure make it feel like home!
This is my favorite coffee house. The espresso-based drinks are delicious. The selections are excellent. If you want coffee or tea this is the place to go. I have tried many items and I have never been disappointed. Everyone who works there is pleasant and if you need an explanation of a drink they do so happily. The vibe is relaxed. Give this place a try when you are in Hoover.
I have been going to baba java ever since spring of this year. Their beans are always great smelling, and make wonderful espresso. The store has a lovely atmosphere and is generally pleasant to be in for a while. They are also great at keeping their roasters busy, by getting new blends and origins in regularly they make sure to keep things interesting.
hands down, the BEST Iced Vanilla Latte and customer service!!
