THE BAKED CHICKEN FELL OFF THE BONE GREAT. THE BLACKEYE PEAS WERE OKAY . THE CORNBREAD WAS VERY GOOD.
So today my boyfriend bought me some food home from Kaylyns! I had baked pork chop, macaroni and cheese, and yams! The pork chop was hard not tender. The yams had more juice than yams which got on the rest of my food. Lastly the Mac and cheese tasted old and stale. I usually don’t leave reviews but this plate was awful all the way around.
This is wonderful neighborhood dining experience with a great location and multicultural clientele. Because it is a line dinner choice the menu is a wee bit limited. Great food.
I'm not fond of their vegetables but the atmosphere is cozy and friendly.
Great food. It had been a while but after a few years hiatus, the food was still excellent. We had the oxtails and meatloaf, both of which were perfect. And for it not to be a main attraction, the hot water cornbread is outstanding.
It's late review from Wednesday 8/25 , when you walk in no one says Hey, they looked at me like I was a worker returning from my break lol.. The dude serving kept talking with his phone like I wasn't standing there. The cashier you would think her customer service would be better. The food was tasteless as far as macaroni and the cabbage being half cooked also, the bake chicken was good I can say. It's dirty where they serve the food, they don't keep it fresh. The ben they keep the cornbread in almost makes you throw up when he opens it
