This is the worst place ever. Do not place an online order. I did got to the store to pick up my food at the estimated time. Some rude know it all says I have to wait two hours for my food. Tell me how does it take two hours to make three subs and a gallon of tea. Horrible experience. I didn’t get my food and I can’t find a customer service contact number to get my refund. Somehow the store does not know how to do a refund.
Although the brisket and cheddar tasted pretty good in spots, it was just a small piece of bread with a much smaller lump of meat and I left still hungry. Usually when I pay this price for food, I'm stuffed and there are leftovers. Had not been here in quite a while and now I remember why. Also, prices on the receipt are slightly higher than those on the menu. $7-12 for sandwich, plus add $3.29 for a small bag of chips and medium drink. Run by young teens who are on point when taking care of a customer, but then chitchatting, giggling, yelling to the back room, and otherwise carrying on with each other in between. I suppose it's nice that they get along, but it's a good thing this is just a sandwich shop.
To put it simply, I wouldn't recommend this places to my worst enemy. I went in when is was about 2 hours from closing.First off, they messed up my order. It was supposed to be 3 12 inch subs, all the same type. What did I get? 3 different types of 6 inch subs. The cashier refused to fix it so I had to just keep them. After I got my food, the employees decided to blast music throughout the store via a Bluetooth speaker. Finally to top it off, I found a hair in the food.If you want an environment that is disrespectful, loud, and gross then this place is for you.
Purchased the smokehouse brisket sandwich and it was excellent !!!!!
Wanted a sandwich and stopped on my way through McCalla. Waited quite a long time for my order and people who ordered after me got their food first. Sandwich wasn't cut in half. No pickle. No napkins. Definitely won't stop there again. Will wait and go to another location closer to home.
Just left this location due to hostile environment. Employee left me and my family, a 7 year old, 80 year old and my daughter because The employee went into the back room and stated “I don’t like white people”. I was appalled!! I tried to reach the general manger at listed numbers but no answer. I have emailed the corporate office and also attempted to call customer service. What a horrible example for Firehouse Subs.
I posted a review 3 yr ago about how great this place was, and it was a great place to come to. The people were friendly and the service was awesome. This was a Thursday ritual for my son and I and he would come during the as he works over here. The last two times I've been there have been horrible. I took an hour and a half to get my online order the first time and it was to much of an effort to cut the sub. And the second time the lady just tossed the bag of subs on the rack with a nasty attitude. The ladys don't wear there hats or hair nets and the one girl only had one glove on. They all have bad attitudes, until they have a new staff I will no longer go there and let every one know how horrible it is.
I haven't had Firehouse in years. The location in Hoover is closed. Great customer service and quality subs. It was delicious ? I love their pickle spears
The young staff was too busy flirt with each other, there seemed to be no leadership in the store at all. It took 25 min for one sandwich to be made.I love firehouse subs but just not at this location.
Since the Firehouse subs closed in Hoover you have to choose another location like Homewood, Brook Highland, or McCalla. Since I had to pickup my online order from the PetSmart in McCalla this location was the obvious choice. There were a couple of people waiting for their orders when we placed ours which was a small Italian combo and a medium hook & ladder. It wasn't very long until our name was called and we had our food. I have to say we got our order faster than we ever did from the Hoover location which was notoriously slow. The food was good but the pickle spears looked like they had seen better days. I forgot to tell them to hold the pickles but it seems like they still put them with your order regardless.
