Taylor Pate's Mother's Day lunch was amazing. There was a long confusing wait regarding payment (cash, unless you have the Cash App, which I downloaded so we could get in). I had made reservations on OpenTable but the restaurant knew nothing about them. Won't use that app again. Long wait to order from our pleasant server. Two of us had Shrimp & Grits /w Conecuh sausage. One had the fried catfish with creamy grits. Everything was hot and delicious. Creamy grits were fab. We requested tableware after our food was brought. Must still be hard to get help because no one came to check on us or ask if we wanted tea refills, dessert etc Mimosas were included in the $30 prix fixe and were good & strong.

The food was good but the service was absolutely terrible. The waitress and owner are both unfriendly and there were issues with food orders and bills that just made the entire experience unpleasant.
Tried to go there for my birthday, they were closed on a weekday.. On google it says they are open and when I arrived they were closed.. Didn’t get to experience at all

The brunch was delicious. Very good mimosas. The service was a little on the poor side. Reservations are not needed.

Horrible service!!! A party of 25 had one little girl as the server!! Mind you, this dinner was booked weeks in advance so they knew! Food took forever. Several people didn’t get their food until everyone else ate! If anyone tried giving complaints, they threatened to kick you out! The waitress was rude and admitted to messing up orders. Most of the people here are arrogant and feel as though you owe them something! It’s so many other places we could have gone but we chose to go here to support a black owned business for a family members birthday!! Terrible!!!!! Would not recommend!!! Don’t ever go here!!
