We stopped going to the Hound a couple of years ago because their shrimp and grits weren’t as tasty as they once were when we very first started. HOWEVER, yesterday we went because a friend wanted to try the food. So I decided to order the shrimp and grits again. They were DELICIOUS!! I can tell they’ve changed the recipe since I’ve been. The shrimp were so seasoned and the grits were great. Remind me of my grandma. I can’t wait to go back! The service was amazing! The new manager is so NICE to everybody not just certain customers. We loved it.
Had eaten here a few years back on last visit to Auburn and could not pass up another chance to visit again. Arrived early before our reservation and were seated almost immediately in the bar area. Our server was one of the bartenders, and was very pleasant and attentive. Had to start with the Bacon Flight appetizer. Three flavors of thicker cut bacon on a board and enough to share. Simply outstanding. Ordered the pork chop, which came solo, but also selected the collard greens to accompany. Each was cooked to perfection and paired together well. Was unable to sample any of their dessert options. Nice ambience inside, was glad to know that school was out of session to make it more accessible. Must visit place, if in Auburn
What a fabulous graduation lunch! Thank you so much for accommodating us with our large party and making our son's day perfect. The team who worked our table was excellent. Our waiter, Jacob, had us well-cared for all afternoon. He kept our drinks filled and refreshed and made sure appetizers and food came out quickly and were perfect. Kudos to the kitchen staff, the additional wait staff, and the bar as well. What a great experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We love The Hound! Every time we go, the service is great and the food is delicious! Our favorite time to go is Saturday Brunch!The have them best shrimp and grits!We’ve dined at The Hound multiple times and have never been disappointed.
What a fantastic restaurant with fantastic service! I took my parents here so they could experience one of Auburn’s most unique restaurants. They absolutely loved it. Ian provided such a warm atmosphere for them and really made them feel welcome in Auburn and at The Hound. He was attentive, knowledgeable and charismatic. I can’t wait to eat here with my family again!
It was an amazing place to try while visiting auburn the drinks we’re delicious and the prices weren’t outrageous!
Visiting from out of town. Love the atmosphere. The food was delicious. Those fries. . . Amazing. Highly recommend for lunch. Great menu selections. Friendly staff and great service.

Make a reservation if you can. We waited about 30 minutes on a Sunday night. Food was very good. Staff was friendly. Place was clean. Sides are ordered separately, everything is sold by its self.
We finally had a chance to try this restaurant, definitely worth going to. The food and drinks were really good, even as crowded as it was the service was attentive and helpful.
