Food was great, atmosphere was good. Service was lacking, took about 5-10 min after sitting down just to get water, Non mixed drinks from bar were taking 5-10 minutes to make it to the table. Quality of food and drinks were great. The restaurant was not that busy but inside was to loud to have decent conversation. That's a huge negative for me. The loss of one star is for service, loss of one star for loud atmosphere even when the restaurant is not full ( poor interior engineering for sound mitigation)

I literally dream about the wagyu burger from The Depot. That first bite always gives me instant goose bumps, every time. Pair it with those horseradish and parsley fries and I could die happy! Hands down best burger for 100 miles!
Our party of six ordered various entrees including trout, pork tenderloin, seafood fettuccine, chicken, and Cobia fish and all were delicious! We ordered several desserts and they were fantastic too! The Depot’s wine expert Katelyn Kupiec helped us choose a wine that was amazing! The service was both elegant and soothing. Our experience was dreamy! Thank you, Chef Scott Simpson, and also a big thanks to all of the great staff at The Depot! You’re the best!
The steelhead was magnificent and I liked the grits, a balance of cheese and grain flavor. The rainbow trout, on thr other hand , was covered up by the smoke flavoring and I never came to terms with the crunchy asparagus. Other stand outs were the sprin asparagus croquettes and the seafood fettacini and others were quite happy with the wagu burger. The redfish was good. Pot de creame and lemon blackberry tart were OK. The 30 year old port was excellent and a nice finish to the meal and everyone liked the cran buck cocktail.
10/10 would recommend. First, beautiful restaurant inside and out. Valet parking. Fantastic service. But most importantly, the food was everything I hoped it would be.The oysters were fresh and crisp. The soft shell crab was a rare menu item and it did not disappoint. The creme brûlée was spot on. And all the cocktails were delicious. It’s so hard to find a high quality seafood restaurant around this area but look no further! The Depot is it!
Upon sitting down, we found that we could not converse adequately, so we asked for a quieter table which the kind staff happily provided. We ate a fantastic meal, and Chef Scott is phenomenal. The staff was excellent and the food was even better.
I made reservations for our son’s 23rd birthday at The Depot. We will not be returning to this restaurant. This was a special night to celebrate our son but the rudeness and aggressive behavior of the Manager ruined our family time. Our son left his wallet at our house because we were driving and the waiter refused to serve him an alcoholic beverage. We asked to speak to the manager and Katelyn Kupiec came to our table with an attitude. We explained the situation— and I offered to show her my son’s license that I keep on my phone-- and she said that it was their policy to card everyone. My husband and I told her we were not carded, nor were any of us ever carded on any previous visits. We also explained that we own a restaurant in Auburn and would never jeopardize another restaurant. Apparently, we said something to upset her because she demanded that we leave the restaurant. We were flabbergasted. I called the owner, Scott Simpson, the next day and again the following day. He never returned my call. Apparently, the owner and manager of this restaurant do not care about their patrons or their experiences at their expensive restaurant.
The Depot was excellent. Free Valet parking. The Amberjack fish was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and our service was impeccable. My car was waiting on me when I walked out. Great place to spend time with family in Auburn.
