IWe went to Live Oaks in Auburn, AL for my daughter's graduation...there were 9 of us. We made reservations and were seated right on time and the atmosphere was cool. We sat outside...that's why I give it 2 stars. The food was horrible. The blackened chicken was not blackened. It wasnt anything. No seasoning and very tough/dry. Food was terrible and pricey for the quality. My daughters had the flat bread and it was ok.
This is quite possibly the boring, bland, unflavorful meal I’ve ever had. I would have sent it back if I wasn’t starving. It was truly a chore to eat. The worst part was the chicken. It was the driest chicken I’ve ever had and to call it blackened would be false advertising. There was barely any seasoning on my chicken. I couldn’t taste it at all. Secondly, the rice. The rice was just okay. Nothing special about it at all. Next, the mashed potatoes. They were very bland and had no flavor to them. Also, they make sure to slap you in the face after making you pay for this subpar meal at best by bringing you the salt and pepper only after you’ve finished your meal. It was very aggravating. I will not be dining here again.

Apps and drinks are always amazing. Their drink specials during the week for happy hour are TOP KNOTCH. Unbelievable prices for well drinks and select shots. The kamikaze shots are my favorite. So good!

We had the worst dining experience at Live Oaks this past Friday night. We were visiting our Auburn University student from out-of-state to celebrate her birthday. We were told there was a 25-minute wait, which turned into a 50-minute wait.When we were finally seated, we waited 2 full hours to receive our food, which was mediocre at best, when it finally arrived. The kitchen was completely overwhelmed with a very large party and could not accommodate the other patrons. Our waiter did not do anything to compensate for our awful dining experience. Management did not remove our appetizer or any entree or drinks from our bill. They brought us a bread pudding on the house, which we declined after being at the restaurant for over 2 hours and just wanted to leave and had no interest in a dessert. Management never came over to our table to apologize or address what was happening in the kitchen. Terrible customer service.We will never eat here again, due to how poorly the situation was handled.

Be very careful. After an hour wait for a table and and hour wait for the food we ordered, we found out there was basically no food left in the restaurant. As we left, they were still seating people, much to our absolute shock. The waitresses seemed just as shocked as us….they seemed to be at their wits end and in tears.
