We have gotten take out (just chicken) from here before, but haven’t eaten inside. We took that chance tonight. The people working looked miserable. The dining area was so dirty. After eating we noticed lots of extra charges on our receipt…a charge for a cup of water(!), a charge for a drink upgrade that was never asked for, a charge for sauces (not extra) to go with 2 kids nugget meals! We had 5 extra charges like that…ridiculous. The only positive was that the chicken (and only the chicken, not sides) was good.
Owner Mark is awesome, one of the few family owned and operated restaurants in Athens. Chicken is better than Zaxbys by a mile!
This is really, really good chicken. Their fries are good too. It's a fun place to go for a low key atmosphere and good food. The cost can add up pretty quickly when you add things to your order, but I still enjoy my trips to this place.
I was a little disappointed that they didn't have my all time favorite item but other than that I was happy that my food was fresh and hot and delicious ?? and the customer service was very good
The absolute best wings I've had, no contest. The Sweet Heat is awesome, and they have actual blue cheese for dipping instead of just ranch like some places. Staff is super friendly. So worth the drive from Madison.
They are fast, food is hot. Onion rings were crispy. Ordered chicken and shrimp. Both good.Fried pickles we're great!
I've been going to Roosters for 24 years, Ppl have changed and I still get the Double Stack Burger. Most Ppl are nice, some young ppl could be taught a little more courtesy.
My order is never right. Twice they have forgotten to give me my drink and sauces. The young kids that work there would rather gossip than work

It was horrible the Manger was rude to mom over their mess up over the order. He was willing to throw our food in the trash and demanded we bring our food back ro even get a refund. It was a 50. Order. He made it clear there was only one roosters and he was the Manger and he was completely fine handling out food that was set out and made it seem like it was the customers not getting the complete order. We went elsewhere and they did so much better on their customer service skills and made sure food was properly but I do not recommend this place to anyone. They have no desire fixing their mess up or preparing fresh food for their customers!
