Food was terrific, great atmosphere clean.Not very crowded.
Family of 5. Had a great time. Reasonable prices. Went on Monday around 6-7. Wasn't busy at all. The place is huge, mens room was huge and very clean. They advertise Karaoke on T & Th. That probably explains the unused space. Wife and kids had a good time so we will be back. Service was great as well. Seems very family oriented.
Need a bar tender that listens to your order before they bring to pour what they think you're gonna order, and bring smoking back inside, also get some new bands that play good music, nobody wants to listen to disco and mustang Sally is dead!
Had a wonderful time on my first visit. The staff is awesome. Enjoyed the karaoke. Many talented singers. The bartender Drew was phenomenal so when you visit Mac's be sure to say HI to Drew! Be sure to tip well they work hard and deal with a lot! Thank you everyone for a fabulous time.
Tried Macs because I'm tired of everyplace else in Athens. I was not disappointed in the food. The steak tips were probably the best I've ever had. I ordered mixed veggies too but the waitress came and told me they were out of everything but peppers and onions so I just had a salad which was good too. But the decor leaves a lot to be desired. Everything's pretty much dark gray. I noticed that the clientelle was mostly guys. If they'd just paint the walls and maybe hang some pictures it would make the place a little more appealing to women without making it girly. Athens needs a place where we'd be comfortable having a girls night out. When women feel comfortable in a bar we spend money too! They're missing a huge opportunity for more income.
The food was good... The staff was friendly. We had a great time!

People of Athens clearly lied or were drunk when they recommended this place. The service is atrocious, and the waitress's attitude was super tacky. I didn't expect upscale restaurant type service, but I would at least expect their service to be on par with Ro's Grille. They won't see me there ever again. If you aren't a good old boy, don't expect good service, I guess??? At least that's the impression we got. Btw we were there on 3/2/2022 in case there is any professional there that would like to look into the matter, which I highly doubt.
Best local home time fun bar ever! I did not eat there just beverages, but the local southern charm was amazing and Bailey the bartender was a fun sweetheart.
Good service n good drinks n anything didn't cost much loving the love in the air when its ur first time been there and don't mind going a again thanks good works
