The overall service in the restaurant and store was great and our waitress made the best salad.Mid afternoon the establishment was busy, but not crowded. The people were friendly throughout, and the whole place looked clean and, while cluttered (per usual for the "old country store" imagine), it was neat and well organized.The bathroom was spic and span, which is important, especially in a restaurant, in my opinion.
Staffing and shortages hit home. Love Cracker Barrel basted eggs. Guess how they are no longer preparing eggs at breakfast. And the biscuits were flat and lifeless. The sawmill gravy was tasteless. Thank goodness for salt and pepper on the table. The service was good. The coffee was good. My wife enjoyed her pecan waffles that were loaded with pecans. So, this time, an average sort of visit. Sometimes, it just happens this way.

We had the meatloaf and chicken and dumplings. I believe they may have been understaffed as the dining room was not packed, but the food was slow to come out. With that being said, everything was hot, and it felt like the waitress was doing her best. By the time we left, the line to eat was out the front door. We'd stop here again.
I had the Sunday pot roast, and it was amazing. The beef is very tender and the broth it was cooked in was perfect. Service was amazing as it always is. Had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but it was totally worth it and it was Sunday after church.
We ordered an order for pick up. I checked in when I arrived and they said they would call me up. I was 10 minutes past our time to pick up so figured any minute right. I waited another 30 minutes and nothing. I went to check again and it took them a little while but I guess my order had been sitting ready for 45 minutes. No apologies just a bunch of questions like did you check in, this was suppose to be curbside. I did check in, I told it showed up strange when we ordered so they printed me a receipt, when I first checked it. Just a really frustrating experience I don't recommend it.
Great hostess and good food
I mean...it's Cracker Barrel. It's a 99% chance it's good. I've been on a restricted diet, and still had a great meal. Not gonna lie...was very hard NOT eating those biscuits.And the store. I absolutely love it. My husband...not so much because our wallet will be lighter when we leave lol! The home decor, clothing, accessories...I love it all!)They have some awesome stuff in their store that I'm coming back to grab for gifts!
We enjoyed our meal.and the waitress was awesome. She was working hard and had the best personality. I did think this baby pic was very creepy and I'm glad we were not sitting infront of it.
