My friends and I had a terrible experience in The Thirsty Scholars. The bill was a mess, it had an error of $135!!!On Saturday, April 30, with 7 friends we were in this bar celebrating at one of them. From 9 pm to 2 am we were having fun until the bill came to us. After paying the bill, we saw that the "discounts" instead to be discounted (mainly they are promotions of the day), it was added to the total payment. It must be a human error or a problem in their software. We complained about that to the server, but she didn't put attention to us. We had to say her two times to be heard....after that, I just think about how many bills have been paid with this same mistake, and were not noted by the customers.Also, I have to say that being is usually to found servers in this bar that look like they are angry or had a bad day. Everyone has bad days, but please, we are paying for a decent service.
The service is quite good, the beer is excellent, but the food is meh. Save your money and don't order the nachos unless you like plain baked tortilla chips without salsa and adequate sour cream for dipping. Skip the wings unless it's wing night since they're really boney. It is possible that the food is normally better since I'm basing this on a St. Patrick's day visit.
Jacy was our server tonight, she was the only server on valentine's day and she did amazing! Kudos to her! She's is an asset to your staff 100%
Service was half hour for drinks so we left after the first and killing time and 100 on vlt's so we didnt feel awkweird, i wouldnt go if it was busy unless i was into the late nite, last call thing.
Ordered Buffalo ranch wings for pick up, get home and there's no sauce on them. Wing flavour was just not there. Definitely would not recommend for wings.
They went over and above our expectations with the food. Management was really good. Very good service
We consider this our neighborhood pub. We are never disappointed for lunch or dinner. And if you like fish and chips, it perfect for this Maritimer!
Good pub with a great selection of beers, cocktails, mocktails and some fairly good food. We visited the venue twice during my visit to saskatoon, our first trip would have warranted 5 stars as the service was sublime! But the second time we were completely ignored for long periods between food and drinks, and at one point were left waiting 30 mins for 2 drinks.
Really impressed with the food and drinks. The drink menu is so varied and fun!
The place was quiet. People see that the parking lot is full outside and do not realize the event center upstair holds at least 100 people. We had checked inside even though the parking lot was full. Our server was great and attentive. The food was great!
