Great place for a first date. I surprised him with the place and he was also very impressed. Something for everyone. Highly recommend Sticks and Stones when you want to push the food boundary a little bit and enjoy some unique cocktails.
We enjoyed our experience at Sticks and Stones from beginning to end. The hostess (Kali) was warm and welcoming and our server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive (Alex). The manager was also attentive, caring, and quietly present. The dining area is 'cute' - a fun, clean and comfortable environment. The menu included many mainstays of a Japanese/Korean style restaurant (eg. bao, Korean fried chicken, ramen), with a variety of items for diverse diets. We started with the drink special and a few appetizers, all of which were excellent - fresh, hot and beautifully presented. Each of us ordered a different entrée (bibimbap, ramen, pork ribs) and we were all happy :) We will definitely be back!
Food quality is good, but the value does not exist. $16 for 6 small pieces of sushi is crazy.
We always enjoy S&S. It has a wonderful ambience, and the food is very good. Nice drink list, Saki is great, not a place for wine, solid beer selection. Selection of food has a shorter menu to chose from, but hopefully the COVID hangover has ended and the menu will expand once more.
Iâm Japanese who love Korean food as well. Karaage was really good, however I was disappointed at mandu and spicy ebi mayo. The ebi mayo was nicely battered and deep fried but the sauce was not enjoyable. The filling of mandu was honestly bad. sorry. But the interior design was very very nice and reminded me of my country.

Lovely experience with server Ella. Not very busy, seated in front of kitchen. Everything was great. Prices a little on the higher side but enjoyed the steamed buns.
Had their new menu items: pork ribs and they were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend; a bit messy to eat but in all the best ways of saucy flavorfulness. Has the LA Kalbi as my main, which is a go to favourite of mine, and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed the leftovers for lunch! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a boutique dining experience!
