The fried chicken is pretty good for a buffet and the staff is very nice but most of the food is pretty bad, chicken balls are like boxed chicken nuggets and the spring rolls shells are very tough and don't seem edible. All that being said it is a buffet so thats to be expected just a bit expensive for what you get if you don't plan on eating 3 or more plates and desert. Not for me, but may be good for a very hungry person looking for fried chicken.

Not the best buffet in saskatoon and to me was a bit pricey. There was not enough food type when I was there. The saslad does not smell good

Since the covid restrictions have been lifted, we have started dining out again.Smileys used to be our go to place for good priced food. Tonight was a huge disappointment!!!!!Firstly, the cost. Over the past 10 years the price per person has nearly doubled. Now you would expect the quality to improve but not so much at Smileys. The coleslaw had a very strong vinegar taste, a lot of the food was dry and overcooked. The deep fried shrimp ? was barely warm and the batter was so thick that it was barely cooked, so much so that you could say raw batter. It was supposed to be 'Prime Rib' night but the ribs were dry and there was not a lot of meat on them!!!!The only semi decent thing's we're the desserts ?. The sticky toffee pudding was luke warm, and the cream on the lemon pie was unpalatable. The melon from the salad station was about the only decent thing.Very disappointed and dissatisfied especially for just over $50.00 for two people. Will be going to the Great Canadian Buffet on 22nd street next time.

Services was very good and staff are very friendly, was my first time going to Smiley's and I am sorry to say it will be my last. Food was not good at all old dry and greasy. Selection was horrible and we went on Tuesday night steak night, the best thing was the steak. Bathrooms were clean and restaurant was also clean. Just needs a big improvement on food.

I'm sorry to say that I literally spat my food out at the table; it was that bad.The said spat item was only one out-of numerous dishes but the majority was either bland or off tasting. We spoke to the manager and pointed out the ginger dish seemed to have no ginger taste. The manager informed us that because they served such a variety.of people the policy was to stay middle of the road and the cooks had no recipies to follow. On a lighter note if you add fish sauce to the tasteless wonton broth it perks it right up.Not ever going back.

Really not impressed. Makes no sense when you have to pay before eating.. which means tip before getting served. I tipped and had to ask for refills every single drink we needed in our party. Very little service. On top of that 4 of us got sick after eating. Only the people who ate fish. Used to be a great resturaunt years ago wont be returning.

A rowdy huge family of at least 50 people came charging in just as we sat down. The server told us to wait until they were done so the kitchen staff could replenish the food trays. So we sat for 30 minutes while this herd of buffalo fooled around, threw food at each other and acted like WILD SAVAGES. NO ONE TOLD THEM TO SMARTEN UP! Finally it was clear. We gave them time to replenish, went up to a totally torn up mess. No shrimp. Potatoes had gravy in them. No fish left. Very little left at the carvery and staff just STARED at you if you asked if more fresh food was coming out. It was not a nice experience and I don't really think we will go back. $25 a head and we ate mainly Chinese noodles, rice, just a bunch of carbs. For $25 a person it's a scam. Desserts are TERRIBLE AND TASTELESS TOO. JUST PURE SUGAR AND NO FLAVOUR AT ALL.

Took my staff out to Smiley's for lunch last Friday. Hadn't been there for awhile due to restrictions the last couple years. Food and service were excellent as I remembered. Great for a quick lunch, we were easily in and out in about 45 minutes, lots of parking and an all-around great lunch experience.

Great experience visiting this "All you can eat" buffet restaurant. The food was awesome. My favorite dishes were: The Fried chicken, fried shrimp, perogies, and chinese style pork. Sushi was great too, and a good variety of salad and desert was available as well.I highly recommend this place.

We hadn’t been to Smiley’s since well before Covid. At that time I wasn’t overly impressed with that restaurant but we went there today and it was great. The food was awesome as well as the service. Lot’s of food available and hot! We will definitely be going back there
