I live nearby and I like to come here often for drinks and dinner with friends. It takes a while so don't expect a quick meal. I generally enjoy this aspect and they usually have great food..Today i was served rotten veggies on a salad and when I mentioned this they brought the plate to the kitchen and just removed a portion of the meal and sent back the same plate. I am paying 20$ for a salad. Just make a new one. I'll rethink this spot the next time.e I eat out
We've been here lots in the past and it's always been a great meal. Tonight was not. Our order was slow coming out, the dining room was not even half full when we ordered, so I really doubt it was because the kitchen was slammed. When the food did start to come out I received my starter 10 minutes before my wife got hers. The kids food showed up in three different times. When I got my main the meat in the sandwich was cold, and the bun had completely dried out because it sat under the light in the pass for so long.I'm not sure what has happened to the dining room management since I was there last about 2 month ago, but it's not good. The whole service felt disorganized, I had a clear view of the pass where our table was and it was overflowing with food the whole time we were there. Some plates sat for a long time. Frustrating to watch that good food sit there and dry out under those heating lamps.I know Earls is a good restaurant has always been great and consistent, tonight was a real shock. Get back to your old self Earls or I'm afraid you'll start to see your customers find other destinations for supper.
Earl's design and atmosphere are definitely the main reason to visit, whether you want to stay inside to enjoy their lounge bar or have a fresh meal on their patio. Their service was excellent too. Think of it as paying for the experience not so much for the food. $$$$
9 years ago this is the place that me and my husband met. This year we decided to visit this place to celebrate our 9 years anniversary. April 30th we came here for late lunch. My husband ordered a 6inch steak with potato and veggies but my husband didn't want the potato so the lady I'll put more veggies :) and I ordered the salmon meal. It took a while for our drinks to come. No one followed up with our drinks. :( then food came, the 6 inches steak is only 4 inches steak with veggies that is only asparagus didn't even manage to make it look appetizing. Just throw the asparagus beside the 4 inches steak (supposed to be 6 inches steak) Unbelievable! This place is memorable for us but for our experienced that day. It's frustrating. My husband didn't want to go here because he knew but I said let's just go there this year. As we expected, not happy with the service we've got.
My table was a two seater. It didn’t have light . So we had dinner in the dark. It was cold too. Margarita drinks were a little pricy.
In the past we have had a wonderful experience. But this time we’re disappointed. After an hr and 15 mins our food had still not arrived. We appreciate it was a busy night. But many take out orders we’re taken care of and the three tables around us were served and left before us. They do have fabulous calamari but the service was certainly sub par
Awesome Mother’s Day dinner with my 92 year old mom. She was so impressed with the fried onion on her potatoes and delicious salmon dinner. The tulips given to us when we left took her over the top. Awesome dinner out for her.
Twice they presented us with poorly washed silverware,three people came in after us and got their food before us even though we ordered before them. They overall appearence of the restaurant was dusty,carpet did not look vaccumed for some time,seats are torn and looked greasy across from us and sat us by the patio door which constantly opened and closed when servers went to their order station and it was cool and breezy. As for the food my pizza was under cooked,ribs where over salted and dry and half order of ribs where drowning in bbq sauce,spuds where cold and coleslaw had no taste.We asked for salt and pepper twice and got nothing. This place has lost its touch since my last visit and most likely will not return ever again. Use to be the place to eat in saskatoon but there is far better than what they offer.
Food was good as always. Service was good except for drinks from the bar. Waitress checked back several times but we had finished eating by the time the second drinks were ready.
Food was excellent but the service was not good. Forgot order & took forever to get - there earlier than normal lunch crowd so could not see why
