Waited forever for the drinks after ordering them. Once we finally got them and the food order was put in it was a long wait for that as well. Our food came out with the table next to ours who was seated 20 minutes after us. Food was Luke warm and underwhelming. Asked for a glass of water after I was done my initial drink and it was never brought. Severely disappointed.
Great service, nice ambiance…but 15 bucks for a small soup bowl of poutine? Even our server warned us it was kinda small, and asked if my companion wanted something else too. Small is fine..15 dollars? Not so much! Btw, it wasn’t on the menu, so we didn’t have any $ reference.
I used to go weekly to Brown's but have tapered down due to rising costs. However, the last three times I was there each meal was so overcooked as to be nearly uneatable. Specifically the fish and the dry ribs. On my last visit the fish was so overdone that the batter was blackened and it tasted burnt. Anyone could see this to be the case, so how does it get sent out from the kitchen? Add to that the overall cost of the meal and I am one one dissatisfied customer. I will never go back, that is a guarantee.
I love Brown's! My partner and I go all the time - the food isn't too expensive and is always really excellent, the gluten free menu is expansive, and the drink menu is delicious.
I am very impressed with the service at Browns Stonebridge. Not only was the food delicious but the staff was absolutely amazing. We ordered two vegetarian fettuccine alfredos; however, our pastas had bacon in it. We called to complain and the staff was so apologetic. They told us that they would make us the right dish for free and the manager even offered to personally deliver the alfredo to us.I have never seen service this exceptional. Many restaurants make mistakes on orders, and that’s completely fine (we’re only human), but they always want the customer to come pick up the food again from the restaurant. Never has any restaurant offered to deliver the food. I was so touched. When the manager came he was so apologetic and kind. This made my day. What excellent customer service. I will definitely recommend Browns to all and I’m now a loyal customer!P.S. The veggie burger is to die for! Best veggie burger I have ever had from a restaurant so far!
We as a family went in the restaurant to eat and we were there for an hour and all we got was appetizers, we actually left before our food was even STARTED because our 2 year old daughter was getting hungry and cranky. They said there were backed up with take out, now I could be wrong but customers in the restaurant should be more important. Which is so disappointing because I like their food and the hostesses was super nice but our waitress was put in a losing battle. All the other tables in the restaurant (which was 4, so not super busy in the restaurant) complained as well it just left a bad taste in my mouth, unfortunately I will probably stay away from this restaurant it's one thing to make me go hungry but my 2 year old daughter not cool.
I ordered $110 dollars worth of food with skip the dishes and the crispy chicken sandwich was literally black and in edible, when I called the restaurant I was told that there was nothing they could do. Won’t ever go back horrible customer service.
My two Grandchildren and myself went for supper at Browns Socialhouse Stonebridge location. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding, We were just getting ready to go when Stephanie came up and ask us how everything was and if she could get us something for dessert, we said no we’re good, then she said that it would be on her. Needless to say she brought us a delicious chocolate brownie with ice cream, caramel sauce and nuts, just top the evening off. Thank you very much we will be telling everyone about our excellence night. Lily, my daughter would like to say the best restaurant in Saskatoon and a big thank you to Stephanie. This made our night extra special.
This place is the definition of customer service & kindness. Went in for pick up, I had lost someone that day to COVID and they gave a complimentary desert. It was an amazing gesture and really appreciated. Will forever be a customer of Browns, especially Stonebridge.
Service was great, food was okay. My order was much too spicy for me but our waiter immediately offered me a substitute so that was nice. The only problem was the substitute was a child's version of the quesadilla I ordered and had zero flavor. But I appreciated the gesture as I couldn't eat the first one ?
