Terrible staff , slow , wrong order,overcharged and refund didn't work. They are all standing around confused. Unclean dinning area very outdated. Food was fine once we got the right items
This location is usually not great when I've been to it. Somehow I tell myself it should be the "flagship" location in Saskatoon because it's on 8th St - so I am always hoping it will be decent.This latest time, I left the drivethru line fairly late in the evening, because standing 3ft away behind a plywood barrier by their back door, some worker was smoking and then horked up a big loogie before spitting and then going back inside. I didn't want that person making my food. My car still stank like the smoke that had just blown in, 5-10 minutes later somehow.This location has been so bad for so many years. It really should be transferred to new management or just demolished. I think that most are all of the A&W are owned/managed by the same horrible people. All of the staff at the various locations seem to act the same way and are incompetent, and the food is always cold, old, and bad - (and of course ultra-expensive.)I think some of the A&Ws in the food courts such as possibly Lawson Heights, and maybe Center Mall (and others) may have different owners/operators because I have noticed the food quality and staff quality are LEAGUES superior in the malls.Whatever small company has run Saskatoon's fast food into the ground by managing A&W, Mcdonalds, and DQ stores so poorly - only keeps cutting corners and lowering quality because they can't figure out why people dont want the bad product.
A 24 hour A&W is the way. The night shift staff is always super friendly and courteous. There's something truly special about being able to get A&W at 4am on a Saturday. This place is what keeps the world going.
The restaurant was clean and the service was fast, there was no waiting. The server was courteous and pleasant. The restaurant was clean and in good order. I ordered the best burger ever. In my opinion it was not the best burger ever. I think a teenburger would beat it except for possibility the quality of the ground beef. I did not care for the battered deep fried pickles. It was my first time trying the best burger ever, and I had to do it to find out if it were true. It was not but now I know.
I like how they are open 24hrs. Staff are very friendly. Food is always good. Pricey but hey, everything is now so come on down and spend your money while its still worth something. Love their root beer and it still comes in a chilled mug!? ?
FOH staff is usually very nice and pleasant, although I cannot even count the amount of times the BOH staff screw up my order. Had to throw out my food after coming home and realising it was wrong because I couldn't consume it, and this is just a repitition of repititions. Basically burned $20+ for what feels like the thousandth time, but I suppose it's on me at this point.

The stores are fine and staff seems friendly enough. Food costs are at the high end of fast food. I'm not ordering lobster. BUT, the most frustrating is A&W coupons, their App and their sign in issues. As a family we dropped their App and only go when A&W has coupons. IMO, Corporate needs to do better. If this is a franchise, good luck and we wish you well.
Best fast food. But the delivery system in evening is very poor at this location. Drivers can't be sitting in the back of a line at drive through for 20 minutes and then another 20 in waiting for 6$ or less delivery. That sums upto 1hr. How can one manage to deliver at 6$/hour including gas and maintenance? I'll give you guys again 5stars if the issue is resolved.
I don’t know who the chef is here, but I hope he never get fired or leaves. All over the city A&Ws don’t make my baby burgers the way I like them, but here it’s seasoned well and ALWAYS fresh. It’s prime. No matter what part of the city I live in I will always take the drive to 8TH street location for their burgers
