I ordered the egg pork tomato pho, and asked at the till if there was anything else in it. They didn't respond so I assumed there wasn't, then it arrived with shrimp and I have an allergy to it. They made me pay half the price of a new dish to get the chicken pho, which was really bland.Edited to add: I also asked what was in the pho beforehand and the cashier didn't respond to me, I said is it just what is listed and he just nodded. All meats in the dish should be listed on the menu...
Servers will stand in front of you staring at a piece of paper while you wait for minutes at the counter. No one will acknowledge you. Not even a “sorry I will be right with you.” I said hi to the teenage male server and he looked up then back down. Finally had to say to them I didn’t mind going elsewhere if they didn’t want my business, then they decided to look up and take my order. I don’t like to be snide at restaurants but the fact that both servers clearly saw me there waiting and said nothing fo me really bothered me.Please give your staff better customer service training and teach them to acknowledge people who are waiting even if they aren’t ready to serve them immediately. There’s no excuse for two servers completely ignoring a customer standing a mere three feet away from them.There service at the downtown Vic Ave location is much better than East.
Food is delicious and place are clean. Price are affordableLove this congee and spring rolls after work.
The pork Vietnamese sub is truly delicious, I eat it at least once a week! Their bubble teas are great too. The place is also super clean and inviting.
The service was awful, the girl at the counter tonight was not interested. I asked questions about an entree before I ordered and she was very short like she didn't care to answer. Also did not tell us all that came on the dish when we asked.Lemongrass chicken tasted like a bad leftover turkey sandwich. The satay? Tasted like it was coated in yesterday's turkey gravy. It wasn't good
As a returning customer, I was disapointed at the way I was spoken to by a girl staff. I asked for a bubble tea (Taro and Tapioca) she asked something else but I could not understand so I kindly repeated my order and she raised her voice and said "THEN YOU ANSWER NO" To what she asked. I was taken aback and I said sorry I didn't understand what you asked so she raised her voice again and corrected me infront of other customers. I asked for the supervisor and she said supervisor was not there. Called and spoke to the supervisor who apparently was there the entire time and she was giggling the whole time. I will go out of my way to purchase bubble tea elsewhere from now on.
The grilled pork on rice noodles was very good. The only downside is the prices. I understand the quality and taste is great, but it cost us $43 dollars for lunch. But we might come and pickup some for a nice supper home in the future. That price range is usually reserved for supper time in our household.
We love the Bubble tea and many of the menu options. My reason for not giving five stars is that unfortunately, there is an employee there, who’s customer service skills lack. When she is talking behind a mask, and a pane of plexiglass, unfortunately she is very hard to understand. I typically have a very good ear and don’t usually have a hard time understanding anyone. When I’ve had to ask her to repeat herself, she responds very loudly and negatively and starts off by shouting “ I said !” …I know at my job, if I have to repeat communication, I could never display that type of behaviour. Anyways, great food, but watch out on how you talk to customers, they may mention it to others and find Bubble tea from many other options in our city.
Great service. Steam buns are my favourite here, as well as the bowls. If you don’t like cilantro they are willing to leave it out for you. Support local!
Went there for my first time. ✌?Was Not disappointed in the fresh rolls at all. It's all I order anyway. ? I thought I'd try one instead of going to my OG Vietnamese restaurant that I go to. But these ones are bigger than the ones I get ? from the other Vietnamese restaurant. But the store is too too far away. So I'll still give 5 star. ?
