I really wish I had good experiences here. The front staff are nice and the food is delicious. However, something keeps going amiss between when I order and when I receive my food.I have ordered here twice - once through Skip the Dishes and once by calling ahead. I have a sensitive stomach, food allergies, and other dietary issues so can only have a few toppings on my food, therefore I say "with only ____ on top". Both times I have ordered here, I have received everything on top. This implies that the kitchen staff reads the order but doesn't read further into any instructions about it.The first time this happened was through Skip, so I thought there might have been a misread. The staff was super apologetic and sent me home with extra fries since it took 20minutes to cook my food. The next time I ordered, it was by calling ahead. I only asked for ketchup on top to make it easier. I confirmed with the staff multiple times that they wrote my order down right. When I got there, the order was wrong so they had to remake it. By the time they gave me the right order, the fries I got were cold and no one seemed willing to admit that they messed up.I hope that the cooking staff improve, I really do. The food is great and I would love to support the restaurant but it just isn't worth the hassle of waiting 20minutes for new food because you are allergic or sensitive to a topping.

If you are a man, you will get excellent service! A women alone will not get the same treatment. I waited almost half an hour for soup & a Ceasar wrap. When I first walked in I sat down, was ignored. Then took 7 minutes for the waitress to bring a menu & water. Oh and at the time there were 3 men and a couple. Also, while waiting for my food, 2 men sat at the bar and got service within seconds. I will give that the waitress is new, but still......Very disappointing in this day & age of women's rights, etc.

Nice selection of lunch items. Good and pleasant service. Recommended.

I never write reviews but I gotta give it to the cooks!! This is the best steak I've had in I can't even remember when!! Soo juicy, best taste, cooked perfect, everything. I am more than pleasantly surprised! Best ever haha, keep it up

A great bar. Very comfortable, cost, great value. Ticks all the boxes. They weren't for a generic 'Celtic' theme which I liked. As an Irish person living abroad, I can say it's as good as it gets in Central Canada.

The food tasted decent, and the mussels were in what would have been a delicious sauce, but they had not been cleaned whatsoever. The beards of the mussels were both attached and floating in the sauce. A bit of a health and safety concern. There were also jagged chunks of shell in the sauce, and numerous mussels that had not opened-therefore not being safe to eat. The waitress was told, and there was zero adjustment to the bill.

I don't know how I'm just hearing about this pub but it was amazing. It's at the atlas hotel and my friends and i will be back for supper soon. I love the ambience, the staff was super friendly and amazing. I had the B52 coffee and it was good

We stayed one night at the Atlas Hotel and really enjoyed our dinner at Knotted Thistle Pub. We arrived around 5:30 pm and were able to take in the Happy Hour prices, which end at 7:00 pm. They have an extensive beer menu, including flights of beer and we enjoyed a local craft beer on tap. The dry ribs (boneless) to start were excellent. I thought my Cajun Chicken Salad (my main) was one of the best salads I've ever had and my husband enjoyed his fish and chip. Typical bar and food prices (Happy Hour $5.00 for beer). The service was very good, including our server changing the tv channel to show our CFL football team! Recommend if staying at the Atlas Hotel - appears most of the patrons were from outside the hotel, fairly popular place!

Atmosphere was good; music nice. We went because the google reviews said good fish and chips. No one could tell us what kind of fish and halfway through mine I found a huge peice of cartilage or something, maybe a fin. I asked the server if they battered the fish in house or bought it prebattered and explained why I wanted to know, showing her the peice. She said she would ask but she never did come back to answer my question. I chose gravy with my fries and it arrive in a small dish but was lukewarm and had a skin formed on the top. Nope, would not go back. Oh, she did credit our bill for the gravy.

Walked in and was almost empty. So sat down waited about 10 minutes without even seeing any waitress or bartender. Another couple came in and almost Immediately a waitress came to help them. Looked at us BEFORE helping them. Then looked at us again as she left. After that I left and went to Leopolds down the street where I actually get service. Never going back to this place again
