First thing that got my attention was the huge sign saying that they will not tolerate violence. Violence in a breakfast restaurant?The second thing that got my attention was the hostess saying to our group “If a lineup starts, you’ll have an hour to finish” to which I replied “depends on how fast you guys cook our meals…”The waitress we had was very nice. The food was typical for a breakfast restaurant. I ordered a huge plate with lots of meat! I couldn’t finish it all!The Petinos breakfast plate is the best bang for your buck. The other options were a bit pricey for what you get.I only gave three stars because of not having a warm welcome when entering the restaurant. I don’t expect a red carpet, but at least a smile and not jump right into your rules about eating times…..
Immense selection of options: savoury, sweet, or both. Very good service. Food arrives insanely quickly. Menu is in French only.
If I can give a 0 I would : Went to have breakfast with a friend. After waiting for about 10 minutes with no one coming to great me , the owner comes to tell me and the person behind me that unless the other person is here we will not be seated although there was many available tables but i still went ahead and sat on the bench until my friend arrived . When she arrived I advised the owner that we were ready to be seated he completely ignored us , made Two to 3 other people sit before us and when I complained to him he started yelling at us on front of all other customers in the line up, everyone was shocked , he was so disrespectful , rude and impolite and he refused to give us a table and told us we were not welcome at his restaurant and threw us out simply because we complained ! I have never seen anything like that or have ever been treated like that, it was such a humiliating experience ! He is a real bully . when I called the head office number to complain , the person I spoke with told me that he will talk to the owner and call us us back which as expected he never did . In all cases I am never stepping foot in a Pettino ever again !
Been to many breakfast restaurants in Montréal and this one is easily up there. Omelettes are huge and cooked to perfection. Overall great!
Went there yesterday for lunch with a friend. I was standing at the front where the hostess is and another family came in behind me. The hostess walked right past me and went straight to the family (standing behind me) and started chatting with them. She did not acknowledge me at all before walking past me. When she walked past me again, I asked her who taught her manners and why she ignored me and went to speak to the family first. She probably didn't understand what I said as I spoke in English and not in french... she went to the back and complained to someone and an extremely rude man came out and started shouting at me and all the other patrons who were waiting to be seated.There was absolutely no reason for the outburst and the abusive behaviour. The manager or whoever he was was NOT interested in listening to anything I had to say about what happened and continued to scream and berate me. The manager was shouting and essentially said that he is willing to "put up with any behaviour from staff because he is unable to find staff". If a manager that I worked with, came out and publicly berated and belittled customers, I probably wouldn’t want to work there either. There is no reason to be screaming at your patrons without even listening to BOTH sides of the story.I would not recommend going to this restaurant as there are many other breakfast places you can visit in Montreal with a nicer atmosphere and staff.
Nice and efficient staffI love a place that keeps the condiments full and on the table.Good breakfast.The only minor negative, I heard a few F bombs come from a loud but happy guy in kitchen . I don't mind, but it is a family place.
Best breakfast place in Montreal! This location is especially great. The staff and customer service is excellent and offers fresh, tasty food with large portions at a great price. I come here often and the staff has always been very professional and kind, as well as the food always being top quality.Definitely my favourite breakfast place!
Service was fast and the staff were very courteous. In my opinion, the food is way better than other similar breakfast places (allo mon coco, etc) 10/10 would recommend!

Owner was very rude, very hostile and yelling at our group. Ended up kicking out 2 people from our group after they asked him to calm down because he was yelling so loud and wouldn’t come to us when we asked to speak with him. Apparently he only yells at women when there’s nobody else around. Servers were nice but the owner should not work with people and should go on a diet.
