Hadn't come in some time to this esteemed Mecca of a hot dog and fries establishment. Unfortunately my timing wasn't that good since it was around 2pm. Had a fry and a dog with a coke and noticed that there were some fries sitting in the bin for what appeared to be some time. Yup, I got the rest of what was sitting there with a small portion of fresh......too bad since I was so looking forward to the experience..but my bad.....I should have waited for the fresh ones to come out. At least they could have put the ones sitting there for a minute in the oil to heat them up..it's weird eating cold with hot. Ate outside on the wooden tables that are just beside the main entrance and I recommend NOT to eat in the car unless you wish to have lard and oil scent for a week in your vehicle....I learned the hard way last time.
Nothing to write home about.The hotdogs meat is cheap. The dressing is done well.The fries are good, but they didn't give me the ketchup when I asked.
Best hot dogs in the city. Shops been in the same family for decades. I grew up in Montreal but moved to Toronto in 77. I make a pilgrimage with my kids to Decarie hot dog every time I visit.
Can never go wrong with these guys. Their food is always fresh, consistent and delicious. Best hot dog place in Montreal in my opinion. That's why I've been going there for the last 35+ years.
Would come here ever since I was a child and quality and products didn't change. Definitely the best fries in Montreal (although a bit unhealthy). This time I had the hotdog poutine which was exactly what you want a poutine to taste like.
Really great place for lunch. The hot dogs are pretty tasty.Poutine is bit greasy though, so if your stomach is not ready for this. Don't go there.Everything else is pretty good.Order it for office lunch or family movie night.
The food is really tasty, I got a bacon Poutine and the portion is very generous!The price is reasonable compared to everywhere else nowadays.
Food: 5 stars. Staff: 1 star. Can't believe how rude and condescending they are all the time! The food on the other hand, absolutely no comment. Everything is delicious and cheap, really can't beat the value of this place, and how late they stay open. But once again, as a frequent customer, I find the attitude of the staff quite off-putting...
I decided to give it a try late night after seeing how it was popular among the Uber eats order s.I'll be honest i don't understand the hype. It's ok, typical vintage greasy joint but dirty.. Passable price but only cash.. Good poutine but not the best. Comparable to Julep, Belle pro and many other places. Staff was very friendly, good service.The style is what really appeals you but unless i have cash on me and close by, l'll pass.
Best staff and best steamy in Montreal. Brings you back to how the restaurant industry used to pride itself on quality service and food. Family owned and operated and staple to the community.Poutine, cheeseburger and club are all very recommended as well.
