This our second time at VIP. We were there on a very busy Friday evening. Every table was full & we were lucky to get a table despite our reservation. It is not a place for fancy dining but if you want great tasting Chinese food & lots of it then this is your place. The service was fast & efficient. The menu is quite long & a little intimidating. We stuck to the set menu but will be a little more adventurous next time.
I was a little worried about eating here as someone who doesn’t eat meat (I came here for a birthday) and I left feeling full. I had the veggie spring rolls, general Tao tofu, veggie fried noodles, and one of the omelettes. I shared this with someone else and we took him a lot of it because the portions are so generous! The staff is also very friendly and helpful. This was my first time at VIP House and I know it won’t be my last.
I ordered VIP through Uber eats because of the restrictions at the moment and got a shrimp chow mein with a taste of cockroach!! There was a damn cockroach in my food!!!!! disgusting!!!! Shame on you VIP!! You should not even be allowed to serve the public!! Everyone should stay away!!!!!! — if I get sick this is because of VIP, I’m already feeling nauseous!!!
This is our regular Chinese restaurant that we go to. Food is always good. We had the lemon chicken which was amazing. Shrimp chow mein and shrimp fried rice both excellent. Hot and sour soup which had the right amount of spice. Good service.
The best bang for your buck as far as food and value. This place has always been a favourite and anytime friends come from out of town I always bring them here. The staff are always courteous and the food is fantastic. Definitely worth a visit ?
DONT GO THERE!!! Have been coming here for 15 years and have spent thousands of dollars at their restaurant and have tipped them heavily... This evening we were greeted by this waiter/owner wearing a white dress shirt all grey hair we tried to get settled in until my mother found a jagged piece of plastic in her wonton soup. The waiter didn’t have the decency to apologize nor make things right. We tried to reason with him and he mentioned the ‘boss’ would not like to do so. In the end, the order was cancelled on his behalf as he knew he was in the wrong and wasn’t worthy of getting tipped, especially after yelling at us and going in the kitchen to swear off his pent up emotions. Bring your business somewhere else, these folks aren’t business savvy except when it comes to being crooked.
one of my favourite restaurants in china town portions are a little small for the price but the taste makes up for it 100%
We love the food here. The portion sizes are good and the price is right. Nice no frills place to eat in the middle of Montreal's China town.
It was our 4th day traveling in Quebec and after eating poutine 8x in the last 4 days had a craving for chinese food. We found this restaurant through Google and were skeptical when we walked in. We are from Vancouver and would like to think we know chinese food. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. Food was on par with restaurants in Vancouver but priced at 40% less. Portions were generous and taste were yummy. The elder gentleman who took our order was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back. Great value, great service and great taste. The triple crown for a restaurant.
