We stayed a week at a nearby hotel and decided to try Vargas. We like to eat small meals at the bar. Although my wife has a hard time with salt, we decided to try the French Onion Soup. After eating it once we came back three more times. Salt was not an issue. It was that good. It was even better than the soup we have tried in Paris. The restaurant is tasteful and the service is good. Also, the bartenders are very friendly. Try it, you'll like it!!

We had the grilled octopus as entrée, which was ok. It was a bit too soft to our taste and too heavy on the pepper. Other than that, the lamb and the lobster tails are both delicious! Services are impecable.
My hubby ordered ribs and satay and I ordered a huge amount of sushi, probably the best we've eaten in our life. So worth the money!

Went to Vargas a few years ago, cute restaurant Food is decent then and now, oysters not so great. Prices are decent.
Our waiter John kindly guided us in wine and food choice, and generally the staff were very flexible in accommodating the two additional people in our party without fuss. Being a steak restaurant there are limited vegetarian options, but a creative solution was suggested, again with flexibility (on chef's part, taking advantage of another table's pre-ordered veggie solution). The acoustics are tricky as the space is cavernous, but the atmosphere was fun and all had a great time.
