Incredible experience since walking in the door, once at our table the server greeted us with the best service and continued to do so until we left. The food is prepared so carefully and with great flavours and techniques. Sommelier helped us choose a fantastic wine. When we left, we felt like almost sad with everyone saying goodbye to us as we were all friends. It’s noticeable that everyone that works there cares about the client and about how the restaurant presents to these clients. It feels that everyone wants to represent their restaurant as if they were all the owners with the help of a good manager and staff that shows how much they care, transpires to a beautiful experience. It’s very obvious that they are running things right! This is honestly refreshing because some restaurants the better they get, the service worsens and this is really not the case here. I’ll be going back any chance I get!
I was in Montreal for a week, visited quite a couple of restaurant, some really famous ones, and Tuck shop is hands down my favorite of all of them. The food was out of this world. I got the octopus and hanger steak and they were both super delicious. Also got a seasonal cocktail that wasn't even on the menu and it was bomb. The vibe and service were all really cool too. I'll definitely be back if I come to Montreal again
My wife and I have been coming back to Montreal a few times a year simply because of how vibrant the culinary scene is here in Montreal, and Tuck shop is easily hands down the best restaurant you need to try when you visit Montreal. The host is amazing, the attention to detail and attentiveness from the servers are exceptional, is the kind of services that will make your day, a team that cares about their restaurant and it reflects from every aspect of the meal. Needless to say, the food was amazing, and we can't wait to be back again!

What a delightful dining experience. We were seated at the oyster bar, and had top notch views of our oysters and scallops starters being prepared. The starters were impeccable. We then enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine (great recommendation by the staff) while awaiting our mains. We had the rack of lamb and the beef rib. Both were tender and delicious. Dinner was capped off by the caramel apple pie, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream (which almost stole the show from the pie's crust).The ambiance was enjoyable, and the staff were all very attentive and friendly. Tick shop is highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.
We went to tuck shop for the first time last night to celebrate a milestone and sat at the chefs table. The kitchen and staff went above and beyond to make our experience special. The food and overall experience really exceeded expectations. Thanks guys. We will be back.
Phenomenal service and fully staffed, which at this moment in time has to speak to the management and ownership.The food was excellent.My dark and stormy cocktail was a ginger-lover’s dream. The beef tartare appetizer was expertly prepared and profoundly flavourful.I had the duck breast as my main course, and can honestly say it was quite likely the best, most beautifully balanced and nuanced dish I have ever enjoyed. Nothing on the plate was superfluous or fussy. Truly phenomenal. Highly, highly recommend.
A friend of mine, who resides in Montreal, told me about this restaurant. So, we popped along on a Saturday evening for dinner. The venue is a little 'off the beaten track', however, worth it. You are instantly hit with a beehive of activity, in a good way. It's a busy restaurant with great atmosphere. Service was great also. Our server was witty, polite and efficient. We started by sharing the Princess Scallops and oysters. The scallops were fresh, sweet and tender with a nice sear. The oysters were fresh and tasty, and were accompanied with jalapeno salsa. This provided a nice kick. For mains, we shared the following: Hanger steak, fries and chimichurri; The duck breast with parsnips, oyster mushrooms and smoked walnuts; and The pork chop with cheddar mash, artichoke gratin, rapini and spicy gravy. My favorite was the duck breast, as it was seared well on the outside and pink and tender in the middle (served sliced). Great selection of homemade desserts, but we decided on liquid desserts of Espresso Martinis. As the title of the review stated, 'Excellent Food, Atmosphere And Service'.
Arguably one of the best restaurants in town. Fantastic service and menu, even when we went in a pandemic setting. Staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and extremely professional. Wine pairing was well-executed. I love the fact that the restaurant does have a great atmosphere despite its size. I also like the fact that we can have late-night reservations.
