This place is a pure delight. From the tacky decorations that covers the entire restaurant, to the friendly staff, to the DELICIOUS sushis, you can’t go wrong at Tri Express. Most probably the best sushi in town, and very affordable for the quality you get. The tasting menu is a great option for your first time there. You won’t be disappointed! Oh, and their Tri Sauce is so good, you won’t want soy sauce with your sushis ever again.

Cute atmosphere

Excellent service courtois. Les serveurs prennent le temps de nous présenter les plats et l’alcool. Excellent repas, mes sushis préférés! Le tartare est un must! Super belle ambiance!

Covid friendly (separate tables), Very good sushi (we tried many kinds of maki) with fresh ingredients. The place is not very fancy, but it is worth going, you will enjoy the sushi, and they have a very nice staff. Will definitely go again.

Very good I would recommend the pizza and tartar it's different from what your used to. Sushi were also good but there are better spots for sushi only.

Weird sashimi and overpriced. Sushi in Montreal has been a problem -- I lived in Tucson in the 2000s, the you-know-what desert, and sushi was better there than here, by orders of magnitude, and I think even that sushi was a joke compared to what you get in Japan. Regardless, Tri Express serves extremely thin sashimi so that you don't taste the fish anymore -- Jun I, by comparison, has thicker slices, tastier, and at the same ballpark price point. We ordered sushi for >100 dollars for two (thin) people, and it was a meagre amount of food. We had some specialities of the chef, also rather underwhelming. Sorry to be negative, but I suggest to try out Jun I instead of this one -- we will not order from Tri Express again: it is OK, but overpriced for what it is and the sashimi is a joke.

Was told this was the best Sushi in Montreal. I was disappointed. The rice has been smashed up and I figure if you are serving mashed up old rice in your rolls at a sushi place...well...you arent a very good sushi place. The rolls although beautifully presented were odd too. Busy...that's what I call it. The sushi was too busy. There was so much going on inside the roll, I wasn't sure what I was actually eating. It just sorta all tasted the same and had the same texture. I wasn't exactly sure what fish I was eating because it had been chopped up and loaded up with sauce. Would I call it bad? No, but I certainly wouldn't go back. I wouldn't have normally written a bad review for a mediocre meal but BAD rice.... That's a big no no. For those prices, you get someone in that knows how to cook it. The fish soup was room temperature and contained very little fish. It had a weird taste. Again, wasn't sure what I was eating. I initially gave this place 2 stars but on reading similar reviews , I dropped it down to one star after my first review. My experience was not just a bad chef night. Seems it's ongoing. I'm annoyed I spent $120 here. Obviously owners are absent.

Boring.Still good quality food but it's becoming way expensive for a menu that didn't change since years. Was expecting more creativity from this place.I was amazed 5 years ago, since then not much has change. Most significant changes are the alcohol is now served and you can pay with credit or debit card.

Original, tasty and good service! Will definitely be back!

We got the sharing menu and it was possibly the best sushi I ever had. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant as well. The service was really good as well our servers took the time to explain everything to us and were really attentive. Will definitely come back when I'm back in Montreal.
