One of the worst places I’ve ever been too. We came in to have dinner for my mothers birthday and we were treated absolutely horribly. From the moment we sat down they were rushing us to order, barely giving us five minutes to choose. Then when we were barely done eating, they came to take our plates and gave us our bills. To make matters worse, the waiter serving us charged us the tip on the bill without even asking us and I’m not even sure if we paid 15% or more. Moreover, while we were paying we had four employees just surrounding us, making us super uncomfortable. It gets worst because our waiter who was absolutely rude to me and my family, was only kind to our family friend who happened to be white, unlike us. We looked around and no one else was being treated like us. The whole experience was weird and uncomfortable. Maybe if the food was good, it would make up for the bad service, but the food was so bland and not worth the buck. Overall, would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are person of Color.
Awesome food and cozy vibes, the pasta here is amazing. The calamari was great as well. What really sets this place apart though is the service. The waiter was friendly and made the whole experience more enjoyable. The food and drinks came out quickly and we felt welcomed there.
This restaurant is an absolute must if you’re in the area! It’s the only Italian restaurant I go to now! The fettucine alfredo (my personal favourite) is absolutely divine and the soups are delicious as well! My dessert favourites are the fried gnocchi and the crème brûlée which are both to die for! The ambiance is unbeatable, the owner is so kind and caring, and it’s truly just a great experience! Could not recommend more:)
My daughters and I spent a beautiful evening here on a girls trip/mini vacay. I have never felt so welcome and so at home as when we visited Trattoria Trestevere! The atmosphere was cozy, beautiful Italian. The food was out-of-this-world delicious, and the service was excellent! We were made to feel like family, and I would recommend this fantastic restaurant to everyone! It really is a “can’t miss”!
Love this place , one of the most authentic Italian restaurants I have ever been to . Highly recommend the gnocchi rose , probably my favourite dishes there . The service is fantastic as well . Great date spot or even to go hang out with friends ! Will always go back!
Ambiance is amazing. Really reminds you of a traditional Italian restaurant. I went with my girlfriend and we can’t recommend this place enough. Though I can’t speak for the wine selection, I can definitely vouch for the food. The gnocchi alla crema was one of the best meals i’ve had. I’ve had the fetunccini primevera was also delicious. The soups are amazing and the deserts are as well. If you’re in the area YOU NEED TO EAT HERE.You’ll thank me later;)
Best Italian restaurant in Montreal! Mauro and his team feel like family to us and they deliver the ultimate Italian dining experience every single time. 100% recommend!
This was an amazing experience. The owner Mario is incredibly personable and a classic Italian host. The food was authentic, the service was attentive, and the fried gnocchi ans tiramisu was to die for!
One of the most authentic Italian meals I've ever had! Absolutely stellar! Delicious food, generous portions, and very friendly and considerate service. This place feels like you've been dropped into a trattoria in Italy. So, so good! (And this coming from an Italian!)
A great Italian restaurant we discovered walking through Montreal. We didn't have reservations but were able to squeeze us in. The staff/owners are fantastic, I heard Italian being spoken to each other. The food was excellent but the customer service was top notch. If you're in the mood for a quaint but lively Italian dinner..highly recommend.
