Good place for Indian food. Not very authentic. We ordered a South Indian Thali which was just fine and could be better. We also ordered paneer chilli which was made with chilli sauce and did not taste the best. Overall it’s 6/10

3.5 stars. My friends and I were craving for Indian food and was recommended to go tho this place. I didn’t take many pictures since we used our hands to savour the food! Overall, food is delicious and price is cheap too! I especially liked the shrimp fried rice. The flavour was so rich and the spicy kick brought out even more the tastiness. Of course, we ordered the butter chicken as well. Its taste was slightly different from the usual. We were wondering if this should be the authentic taste. Out table is a bit greasy when we were seated though, they can improve a bit on their cleanliness.

Very poor service; placed order for 7 naans for 5 people but got only 1 with the meal. Seeing the small size of the naans, ordered 3 more which got too much time to be served - to be honest we finished eating disappointedly before they were delivered.5/5 for Gobhi mabchurian and 4/5 for chicken 65. However, just like their services, chicken curry and chicken tikka needs a lot of improvement. Their chicken curry doesn't seem to be fresh [and my kids (17 & 15) doubt it was a kind of left ove as judged from the appearance and taste. The assumption was strengthen from the fact that they served the curry in about 5 minutes of taking the order]. Had to wait even for the drinking water to be served for quite a while.None of my family members liked the food except for the Gobhi mabchurian. And all this despite telling the manager that I have some kind of acquaintance with the owner.Don't recommend the outlet unless someone want to waste money. Will not visit them again...!!Extremely pathetic service.

great food and ambient environment

First visit to Thanjai, with friends who patron the place frequently. Thoroughly enjoyed the food.Service-wise, the staff who took our orders seemed new. She kept getting the orders wrong despite us having repeated it several times, but at least she came back to check a few times so everything was served correctly in the end. Will be visiting again!

Food was good but service was sooo poor. Short staff. The tables were empty( not cleaned ) but we have to wait around half an hour on the line to just get in and sit in the restaurant. After serving all the foods, one item was missing and they serviced it after 45 minutes. Which is completely unacceptable. The employees don’t even apologise for the delay.

We have visited this restaurant many times but this time the experience was so different. We think the management has changed. The waiters kept us waiting even though they were enthusiastic in welcoming customers in, and taking the orders. The food served was cold. The floor of the restaurant was littered with tissues, and leftover food and scraps. The trash in the toilet was not cleared, and there was all over the floor. We were looking forward to dining, and brought couple of friends along to introduce the cuisine to them. It was indeed a sad experience. We will not go there again.

Got my order almost after 40 minutes (got to know because the waiter forgot to punch the order in system and left for the day), of chicken biryani in which chicken was dried and rice was burnt. waited another 20 minutes for Mysore Dosa. The quantity was decent as compared to other restaurants. Will not go again worst experience ever. I was so famished and starved to death

Tasty food.A group who came after us got the table early as they knew someone at the restaurant. At that moment, i was sure that I'm in an authentic Indian restaurant.

Since this is a new year and restaurants are still closed for dine-in, we ordered about 2 hours before we wanted to pick up our food. When we arrived we had to wait 20 minutes before our food was ready. Don't know why since we did give them enough time to prepare the 3 dishes.Let's start with the Curry Shrimp. It was very good. The shrimps were a nice size, not huge, in a slightly spicy curry sauce. Then there was the Curry Lamb. Won't be ordering that again. The tiny pieces of lamb were dried out and rubbery. It almost tasted like goat. The sauce was very disappointing. The menu description says lemon and raisins with other stuff. No lemon taste and definitely no raisins.Last, but not least, was the Chicken Kothu, amazing. Our favorite dish from this restaurant. The staff is very polite and service is usually better. Everyone one has an off day but this is now the second time they are off.We will go back once we can eat in the restaurant. They specialize in Dosa and Idly but that's more for breakfast or even lunch.Feb 2022 - We finally are eating in the restaurant and it's not going well. We ordered 3 dishes. Kothu, curry chicken, and a paneer dish. We got the Kothu. It got cold before we got the other dishes. Hurray. It finally came. The only problem was the Chicken curry was not hot. So we had 2 lukewarm dishes and one hot dish. Disappointing
