We were visiting Montreal abs decided to go for sushi with the rest of the family. I searched for the highest Google rate restaurant and Taiyo was the first.Maybe they are the best in Montreal but we are from Toronto and we eat a lot of sushi.First dish they bring looks fancy with all the decorations and a you order more you get less quality fish. They also don't bring what you order at the end and cut the orders to what is cheaper for them to make.Pictures I have is from the first part of the order.
I have been at many all you can eat sushi places over the past 10 years and have tried sushi places all over montreal. This is by far the best one of Montreal. The nigiris and makis were filled with fish with just enough rice to make it enjoyable (contrarily to almost all other places that stuff you with rice and barely any fish). Fish tasted fresh, platters were beautifully presented and waiters were very nice and attentive. Service was slower than other places but it is justified by the quality received. I was too busy eating that I forgot to take many photos of the plates. The small downside is that some of the cooked dishes aren't the best but we came here for the sushi that did not dissapoint. 100% recommend this place. Also desserts were delicious.
Absolutely the best all you can eat sushi I've ever had. Food arrives almost instantly unless it takes a little bit of time to make. Ingredients were fresh and consistent, and the presentation was amazing. The staff all work very efficiently together and ensures that there's no wait time for water refills or to clear any dishes. 10/10 worth it!
great staff awesome food loved it
Best sushi ever…. Staff is great, food is great everything was great. If you in St-Denis and want great sushi this is the place. Enjoy!
Quick service.High quality food, excel in marinating and making sauces.Really good cooks, especially in decorating plates.Worth coming back frequently ?
Very fresh seafood and great taste, will come again
Best sushi in the town definitely will come again
Taiyo is a great choice for dinner for 3! Even on a Monday, they seemed busy but the ambiance was still conducive for good conversation over some sushi! The wait staff were responsive; they constantly refilled water and moved plates in and out of the table as we ate. They had the typical offerings you'd expect at any standard AYCE spot with an iPad ordering system. We got to try out a variety maki rolls, sashimi, appetizers and dessert over their ~100 item menu. My personal favourite was the salmon sashimi. Clean fatty taste, good texture. The menu was tasty but the construction of some of the maki rolls could be slightly flimsy. As an AYCE spot, this place delivers a good experience. Note - they add a surcharge for unfinished food. We had a couple nigiris left over and didn't mind taking them as "take out"; order mindfully.
I’ve tried many all you can eat sushi restaurants and this is by far the Best all you can eat sushi restaurant. The service, the taste and quality are not comparable
