I arrived with a group on a Sunday afternoon, 2 hours before a show. We waited forever for any service despite the restaurant being fairly empty. It was apparent that our server could not figure out how to multitask between our table and one nearby where two attractive women were sitting. We ordered beers, a few pitchers of sangria or something like it, and I ordered a burger. It all took forever and we all considered leaving several times so we could get to the show. My burger finally arrived. It tasted a little funny, but I marked it down to beef seasoning being different in different provinces, and in the 37 years of my life I've always been able to eat like a garbage disposal. 12 hours later I was very sick. And nearly a month later, my guts still aren't the same. I wrote this review from the toilet. From the map I see there's another pub across the street - if you're reading this, go there instead.
The overall feeling is a bit contradictory: Surprise, it does not count; Say disappointed and it is not.
Made reservations for 9:30pm, call to let them know we were a little late. Turns out they gave our table away. We had to share our table wit another group. Then 3 different other table open up. 2 hostess refused to move us. Ask the waitress she said ok. Finally got a table for ourselves. Food was burnt, wrong order. At least the waiters was nice, gave a good tip. Don’t think I would come back. Food is overpriced, drinks is meh.
The restaurant has a nice ambience and it's a fun place to go to with friends.However, getting in contact with the restaurant to reserve is quite infuriating. You can call the restaurant, but don't expect an answer. I understand that the people working are busy but it really gives a bad impression as it shouldn't be so difficult to get into contact with them. Also, you can't call to reserve past 10pm despite the restaurant being open until 3am.Moreover, the reservation via their website does not work. I tried it on various devices and even had some friends give it a try but alas, we all get the same error message when trying to finalize the reservation.Honestly this is a chain restaurant and especially in the time of COVID, I'd assume the process of making reservations would be a lot more easier since reservations are almost always required nowadays.
Great place to get drunk and eat. Sometimes the service is really slow, but that’s expected when you go to a busy place like this one. I have enjoyed most of my outings here, the drinks are good and so is the food!! Music is a little too loud (you can’t hear anyone), which was fine when dancing was allowed but I don’t get the purpose of blasting it so loud when everyone is seated and trying to talk..
Very nice vibe and layout and a lot larger inside then it appears from outside. Impressed with the variety of drinks offered. Also mix of tasty things to munch on too, enough to satisfy a range of palettes. Popular hot spot with locals appears to cater to a mostly English speaking clientele. Reservations are recommended since the wait for a table is more likely then not.
To be honest I always reserve at Shaker as it is across the street I live. Unfortunately they don’t know how to keep a customer. I reserved for 2 and asked for one added chair as we were 3 instead: I’ve been calling them since 4pm when they opened to add only 1 person and no one answered. I called many time until someone did and told me that she’ll see what she can do and nothing. As an old customer I am really disappointed on how they treat you. They told me that there are no places which I understand but half of the restaurant was still empty so they can add that chair until someone comes. Plus nowadays they are all kids and as I said in a previous review their food is not at all tasty as it was before, not worth it. They should really consider reviewing manging their team, their food quality and especially how they treat people..
The best cocktails in the city...Tried the big mason jar cocktail they have and it was mindblowing. A wonderful first day in montreal with the best cocktails. The ambience is great too...

Great vibe and attentive service. Went here on a Friday night with a group of 7 and were promptly attended to. Food was exceptional (definitely try the fries) and the live DJ was mixing some great beats. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Special mention to Gabriel who made sure to always keep our drinks topped up.
