The atmosphere and food here were perfect for weary travelers. So cozy! We had the shrimp fra diavolo and cavatelli, and both were absolutely delicious. I will return the next time I'm in Montreal!

This place is the real deal folks. After a week being back home in NY we are still talking about the burrata and peach appetizer! Maybe one of the best meals we've ever had including Italy, France etc.... Eggplant is out of this world, pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe to die for and Chicken Toscana... just stop it!!! We also got Tiramiso which I usually find cloying..not this one which was absolutely delicate and creamy and key lime pie...perfection. Like I said, this was the best meal we had by far after our fabulous week in Montreal. Prices are very fair here.

Italian cuisine is my absolute favorite. Normally I dont write reviews but this time I just had to. The meatballs were just like my neighbor's mom when growing up. The ceviche was exquisite. The homemade ravioli were just divine and the mushroom sauce that accompanied it was great. The owner was so gracious and welcoming that he offered us a limoncello...classy and typical heart warming hospitality. The vibe was also perfect.

Food was fantastic! The Chicken Tuscano was tender and I could have licked the sauce off the plate it was so delicious. The pasta with sausage was seared and seasoned perfectly. Top off the great food with impeccable service by Johnny and we marked this as a "must return".

Food was fine(lower case f). Server was a bit rude; they wouldn’t come back to take the meal order after appetizers(said we had to order everything at once), wouldn’t change our cutlery(just put the dirty utensils on our clean napkins), lots of items not available on the menu, didn’t have basic cocktails. There are better options around.

I don't understand these excellent reviews. Until Covid turned us upside down, I've spent about a month each year in Italy for a long time, from Piemonte to Sicilia. This food felt "Americanized" and mostly rqther flavorless. My husband and I tried entrees and appetizers and literally not one delicious dish was had. The burrata itself was fine, but everything accompanying it was average. I ordered acqua pazza (fish) which was a salt bomb. Essentially, no other flavor. We sat outside and service was fine. We were really sorry that we wasted one of our dinners here.

As many other reviews with juvenile replies from management have illustrated The manager/owner needs to get over himself and realize his arrogant attitude is in no way justified by the substandard food Let’s start with the cocktail menu which is very limited and redundant Appetizers of salmon tartare was fishy and oddly flavoured with truffle oil giving it a major ick factor The meatballs were good , the burrata accompaniments bland and under seasoned, the bread days old The entrees - gnocchi like lead but sauce ok, the beef ravioli stuffing similar to chef Boyardee ravioli Linguine with clam sauce totally under seasoned When asked for grated Parmesan in an effort to save the dish was flatly denied by waiter and them owner saying it wouldn’t complement the dish. Actually laughable given the quality of the food When we earlier asked for salt and pepper the waiter incredibly went to the table right beside us and unbelievably took it from another patrons hands while he was using it. Overheard that table complaining of quality of food only to be advised “you are wrong it’s a good dish “. Incredible lack of service The good reviews of this restaurant are hard to believe Will never recommend and strongly advise to avoid this establishment. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere

Thank you for a wonderful experience our first night in Montreal! The food was impeccable, authentic, and extremely fresh ingredients. The wine list is extensive, but well put together with regional wines from Italy’s most prestigious wine regions. The service was attentive.

The ‘Salumi Vino’ is a restaurant situated in the heart of Old Montreal. It is the favorite place for people all over the world. As you enter the place, a magnificent setting, a delightful marriage of antique cut stones and the luxuries of modernity welcome you. Sitting in any table, you have a wonderful view of the workshop-like kitchen where you can see the chefs working. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth- watering starters. I had the fried zucchini accompanied by a mousseline tomato sauce and Burrato salad. They were exquisite. All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of homemade food. The chefs take great care in selecting fresh products and ingredients.Despite the low price of the food and very attentive waiters ́ service, I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason, I highly recommend going to the Salumi Vino restaurant.Special thanks to Owner Mr. Mario he was to kind to offer us special Italian desert Tiramisu.

We had a wonderful dinner on the patio. Great food, wine, and service. Mario was great about communicating and confirming the reservation for our large group and ensured that all of our special dietary needs were accommodated.
