very solid dining experience. the wait staff was pleasant and efficient. very good comfort food .
My partner and I stumbled across this spot during a long weekend in Montreal and I'm so glad we did! The service was friendly and helpful and everything we ordered was delicious. The menu included just a few items, but everything we had - a fishcake and mushroom toast for starters, a halibut special and schnitzel for entrees and a shared sticky toffee pudding for dessert - was perfectly prepared and presented. If I lived nearby I can see how this would be a regular go-to.

Booked a reservation on a whim. From arrival to paying the check, everything was outstanding! Service was professional, but relaxed (which I love), food was amazing (even my fickle teenagers enjoyed every bite), the ambiance was calming and warm and the cocktails were pleasantly balanced. My youngest son had the tagliatelli w/beef and he literally licked the bowl clean! My wife had the halibut feature and enjoyed it so much and enjoyed the sauce of creamed corn with a hint of spice. My eldest son and I had the steak, cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also ordered a side of truffle poutine...exactly what I needed...soooo yummy! What a perfect ending to our last dinner in Montreal. A true pleasure...merci!
We were forgotten by the server, received our meal later than client arrived after us, obviously our plate were not warm . Portion were to little and the quality was not there. Over rated will not go back
We had an early reservation, 5h45, We were seated immediately beside the only couple in the place. It did not start well. The whole service was perfect, the waitress was very nice and professionnal. We had salmon tartare and beef tartare as starters. Salmon tartare was overwelmed by the taste of sesame oil, the taste direction was very off. Beef tartare was good but the meat used was way to rough. Tenderness was absent. Course meals were good but nothing spectacular... Will not return.

We shared the Tuna tacos which were a special and very good. We both had the Braised Beef Tagliatelle which was outstanding and is now a challenge for me to duplicate when I get home. The Sticky Toffee Cake was decadent. Will definitely return if we visit again.
Every level of service was great. Hostess, server, expediter.... Doesn't feel like a below street level restaurant. Negroni cocktail was fine (but nothing special). Mushrooms on toast was our favourite part.
