Came here on a Friday night in May. Place was very busy with takeout orders. Staff was pleasant and the food was tasty. We shared beef tacos and battered fish tacos as well. Food was good. Could not have accompanying adult beverage as none were for sale. I mean this place is probably a 3-star, but the ambiance was warm and got me thinking that in time it will get better for sure. I guess it’s a vote of confidence of what’s ahead for this convenient Mexican restaurant with a street food feel. Thank you!

The place looks cosy, and we liked the fact they had an open view on the kitchen. Food wise, we ordered are a couple of dishes and to be honest it really lacked of flavors. The guacamole was tasteless but the homemade chips were pretty good. Tacos were average, luckily we got some salsa verde to juice it up and add some flavors into it. The cactus salad was fresh but once again tasteless… Overall this is a nice cosy place to stop by if you live in the neighborhood, but definitely did not worth the 30min it took us to get there. To be said, the owner/the gentlemen in charge of the kitchen was really nice .
Amaranto is just so delicious!!! Best Mexican food in Montreal, never disappointed!!!Authentic Mexican flavours, reasonable quantity and the ambience is super warm!!!Give yourself a favor and try this restaurant, a go to every time I’m craving Mexican food
A wonderful local gem we didn't expect to find in Montreal. The food is excellent, home-style, and comforting. Would love to return when we can dine in and have a full meal.

I tried the “tacos” but it was too simple, there’s nothing to be with mexican food and it was pretty expensive
Great authentic fresh made Mexican food. Super friendly people. Tasty, delicious and well priced. A hidden gem. Love this spot, definitely recommend.
