We stopped in at Wolf & Workman for drinks during the Grand Prix weekend. Even though they were quite busy we managed to get a table on their outdoor patio. The service was fast and friendly and in no time we had our drinks in front of us. We enjoyed our time there!
Known for gastro-pub pies, beware of long tables that often signal groups (parties, after-works) that get noisy and overwork the staff.
We dined here for a quick meal. The food was decent. We had spaghetti and a burger. Neither were amazing but did the job. It is a pub after all so expectations weren’t high.
I can't say enough good things about this place. The vibe was like another world. You have to sit on the terrace and you have to try to get a beef potpie before they sell out. The chicken potpie is still a good option if you don't like beef. The bangers and mash were eaten so fast that no one could capture a proper picture. Those homemade sausages were on point. The Scotch egg made from a duck egg was a nice twist as well. Beer was on point too. Service was fast yet relaxed and fun. A true must visit in Montreal.
We went to Wolf & Workman for Sunday brunch. From the outside it looks like a nice standard pub. When they took us to the back where the outdoor patio is, however, we saw another side of it. A beautiful, green, open air space with little white lights and vines growing all over right in the middle of the old town. You would never know that this little oasis exits. Best patio in Montreal, I dare to say. The food and service - also top notch. Homemade sour dough toast in all of the breakfast dishes was to die for. Highly recommend and we will be back!
good vibe, great food and bar staff have a good singalong!
When traveling, we try to visit many different places, but found ourselves at WOLF & WORKMAN 3 times in 2 days! Excellent food and very friendly and efficient staff. Good beer selection too. Our favorite? Burgundy Lion.(Now that we have been here 2 weeks...Over the course of our visit, we were served by some WONDERFUL people! Nguyen was welcoming and funny, seemingly happy to see us each of our visits, Derrick and Cleo were excellent servers, no matter how busy, and Alexa and Lambert behind the bar! So friendly and helpful and awesome at keeping up with this very busy place! They certainly know how to shake up the cocktails! We surprisingly clocked 7 visits in 2 weeks! Breakfast once and dinner the rest of the time. We asked the owner to open another Wolf in San Francisco! Fingers crossed!)
Drinks were great, food delicious and the bar staff were awesome. They were fun, upbeat, and on top of everything. Best bar staff in Montreal, It was a great way to end the visit.
Old Town Montreal is a must when visiting Montreal, and if you're looking for great local and international beers then thus is the place. Menu also looked good. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Loved it so much, I bought the tee shirt!
We stopped here because I like the pictures I saw in reviews of the back patio area and it really was pretty. Definitely European feeling. We got some good food here; the salmon gravlax is to die for, the chicken tikka masala is really good but the mackerel croquettes were our least favorite. Overall, if you're in the area and looking for a place to stop this is a good one.
