Very cozy bar but definitely an amazing service and great whisky selection . A1 place for a proper whisky tasting night .
+++ Extensive and varied whisky & gin selection, from entry-level to luxury products.+++ Reasonable prices, especially when compared to other whisky bars in the region.+++ Well-arranged ambiance, tastefully marrying traditional and urban.+++ Markedly friendly and approachable staff.--- Food is largely an afterthought.The folks at l'Île Noire quite simply know what's up. It is always a pleasure to sample and savor liquors in this pub, and one can feel relaxed and at ease even on full nights. The place is best appreciated when going for a digestif after dinner, in order to end the night with a graceful, soft landing.

I had really a nice experience with my friends. We had couple of drinks and one cheese pasta that was good.What i liked the most is that the barman is ready to do any shot you like. I just had to give him the ingredients and done!!The environment is cozy and nice. Music id good, not so loud. So we were able to talk. Finding a parking was a bit hard. We had to walk for 10mn to the car. You have to take the stairs up to reach the pub. I recommend this place.
Absolutely no vegan options, the location is convenient in downtown Montreal. The drinks are little deceiving and mostly mixed with water than anything else
They have a wide selection of whisky but you may wish to try their beer specials and their decent full-course menu... they may not have all the whiskys available on their menu but you won't leave disappointed!
Top notch whiskey selection and a knowledgeable and very professional staff. This is the place to go for scotch, bourbon, gin and other quality drinks at decent prices.
Waitress was too shallow. Gave her 5% tip for not being a great server. Being a tourist in town she still didn’t care to offer food. Came back to ask for more tip. First time I have experienced a waitress begged for tip. Won’t recommend this place for any tourist.
I had been wanting to go there for a long time but never did. I was not disappointed at all! The terasse is very cozy and the pub looks stunning inside with a beautiful showcase of whisky/liquor bottles.I had 2 cocktails and they were flavorful! Im not usually a fan of cocktails (mostly beer) but I would go there again for that.They have their own red ale (l'île noire) which is also very tasty!!Their selection of whisky and Gin is HUGE (like 14 pages)Another good thing is the taxes are already included in the price shown on the menu! That's cool! Anyways I can't wait to go again!
A solid menu choice full of Scotch and Gin. A little something for everyone. Good service and they didn't skimp on the pours. Will be back!
