If you’re looking for a place that sells human hair in almost all of their dishes, this is the place to be. I have yet to go to a busier restaurant which is beyond me. The food is mediocre at best and when I called the server over and showed her the hair she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I couldn’t help but laugh, but I totally understand her reaction because the place was packed and the line to get a table was through the door. Three adults, two kids, and we payed $220.
I love all the food that we ordered and it was very fast.Super love the calamari, the shrimps and the fried potatoes very palatable.
Deserves a 0 stars. The cashier is rude, very condescending, and behaves like she is doing you a favor. Gives you a look when you don’t like a tip, when why should you with such awful service. When spending 200$ plus dollars in food and asking for another sauce, was told it would cost extra because it was one order, when there is no was 1 person can eat 200$ of seafood by themselves. At the service counter, they don’t explain the prices to you and if you are new will tell you that there is a minimum price to try and get you to spend more money. No one is wearing a mask properly and cooking and serving your food in Covid-19. No vaccine passport check. No place to sit.Condescending and very rude, acting like they are doing you a favor when you are spending your money there.Never going there again, spend your money somewhere else.
We came last year as this restaurant was recommended by many of my friends as one of the things to do in Montreal (we are from the GTA). The food was delicious, service was amazing. We came again this year, again the food was delicious, the cook helped us choose what kind of dishes to have.. the service was great.Only issue was that it took us forever to find a parking, specially in this snowy weather… so just be prepared for it.
Rayan's Poissonerie is an indifferent Seafood Restaurant. For me, I may not come back here. When we dined here around 2018. It was good for the most part. You can choose any seating you want and it is not really organized and manageable.Service here is alright and I feel like they care more for money than Quality and service. Some of the employees here want to robbed you of your money. The food there is extremely salty. Almost all of there food is doused with Salt so much so you need a lot of water with you.The waiters and staff are nice but you will have different waiters at each time so you can always ask them. When you order you need to first choose your food sort of like a butcher or fish shop at a store which is nice but you need to watch and communicate with the guy to make sure you get the right amount and good measurement. At the end of the meal you need to double check and make sure your food is right since sometimes they mess up your total and make sure you know that you ordered properly and good. They also expect a big tip which is ridiculous. All in all with the saltiness, bad management not enough options with drinks, and money over food and no experience it may be our last time here.I do hope they improve on politeness quality and a better restaurant principle for all customers and environmental sustainability.I feel indifferent and may not come back.
Great place any sea food like for octopus, fried shrimp and fried calamari. I recommend.
Very fair pricing but be aware that your bill will be heft since seafood is rather expensive. That said, amazing calamari and grilled octopus… to die for. Just thinking about it makes me salivate! Buy it by the pound, cooked and ready. Perfect for just eating like that or as a complement to a supper or to bring to a party! Taste is amazing and fresh! Though I’ve only had their calamari and octopus i dont doubt their other items on the menu are as amazing. Definitely recommended if you feeling fishy ?
The food was delicious. Really well made. Reminded me of how fish is prepared in Arab countries. We ordered fried and grilled plates. Both were perfect. The staff are really nice and helpful. The place is very clean. You have to go to the back and order whatever you want and then you have to ask to be seated (if you don't want to take it away). I recommend.
I've been to this location many times, both take out and dine in. We have one I'm Ottawa so it's nice to have different locations in Montreal to choose from. Service was very prompt and the food was amazing, as always. The food was on our table within 10 minutes of order which is great because we were super hungry. Shrimp was perfect, calamari was crisp on the outside super soft inside. The salmon was one of the best I've had in a while.
Fresh, tasty and delicious food. It a much to try this place if you like seafood. The owner is very friendly and the staff are very respectful. I enjoy going there every time I visit Montreal
