Heard great reviews about this restaurant so I decided to try it out. I ordered the spring rolls, the pho, the chicken vermicelli bowl and the bun Bo hue. All the dishes tasted great and the service was extremely quick! We got our food in around 5-10 after placing our order. The only downside is that they only accept cash and that the portions are quite small relative to the price. For instance, the chicken vermicelli bowl costed around 17$ and the portion was quite small. I am used to paying around 15$ for a much larger portion. Also their XL pho was not much larger than the L. All in all, the food was good but not the best viet I have had.
Visited with my friends, we tried all three types of rolls, one with meat one shrimp one pork, not the best, you only feel the lettuce inside. The soup was almost tasteless unless the beef slides inside, you definitely need to add any of the sauces on the table to have something worth trying. Prices are fair for what we got. Not the best service but enough for the place as it is.It’s my first time trying pho cuisine but not doing it again anytime soon.
Excellent Pho, top 2 broth in Montreal. The spring rolls are a bit small but the sauce is amazing.Service was quick and of good quality.Cash only.Don’t expect a decor, that’s not the vibe.
Delicious as always! Quality hasn’t changed despite Covid. Best Pho in Town. If you are there on a Sunday and you don’t mind a little spice, definitely try the Bun bo Hue, it’s is just phenomenal, you won’t regret it!
It’s well overrated, the pho is mediocre, the broth is very salty and the service is horrible. It took the waiters a really long time to give us the menu and take our order, they gave the menu and took orders from customers who arrived after us. We can understand and empathize if they were really busy and overwhelmed, but they simply didn't acknowledge us. We then informed the waiter of our disappointment but they didn’t care to apologize. Will never come back here for the really bad experience, customer service and very mediocre bowls of pho.
My favourite place in Montreal for Pho. The most important element, the broth, is incredible and is consistently delicious. I HIGHLY recommend you try Pho Lien for yourselves. Prices are also extremely reasonable (they only take cash, however. There is an ATM available).Service is quick and don't worry if there is a line because it moves quickly as well. Don't miss out on this Vietnamese GEM.
+Pho+Pho+Pho+Fast service=Price-DecorFun story: it was my friend's birthday, and one of the employee made sure it was a special day. He turned off the light and stay by to help with the cake. What a day!
Been going here since I was 6!The broth is very unique and clean, the beef is tender and fatty! I give it 4/5 because the price is a little higher than the average Pho places in the area.
I always get the number 1 large or extra large. This place is amazing! Warms you up on a cold winter day. I enjoy their Vietnamese coffee as well - fantastic drink for the summer time! The chicken curry is probably my second favourite dish from this place. This place is cash only, but definitely worth it!
My general rule about restaurants is that if they are full, especially after regular meal hours, then it must be GREAT! Unfortunately, Pho Lien has proven me wrong.Parking in this area, mostly due to reserved bus lanes, was a challenge. Then, we learned they only accept cash , so we had to waste time trying to find my bank machine. At around 4pm, the place only had 3 remaining tables. It took 5 minutes before getting a menu. Unfortunately, we waited and waited for the waiter to arrive but to no avail. As a diabetic, I had taken my insulin upon making my choice. I even approached the waiter but instead he took the orders from the other 2 tables who arrived AFTER us. We made several attempts trying to get the waiter's attention, but we were ignored. After waiting for an additional 15 minutes and with my glucose getting lower, I simply could not wait any longer and we left.Luckily, this turned into a positive experience for us because we found a restaurant that offered great food, amazing service AND better prices (please see my other reviews).
