The taste is great as always. I am giving it 3 star because the walls are covered in spiderwebs, as well as the decoration pictures right above our heads. I could see the webs flying around because of the fan and they could fall in our food. I hope the restaurant sees my rating and do a thorough cleaning.
Cucumber salad with chili oil and peanut appetizer is light and delicious. Vegetable noodle soup is great, but ask for extras veggies because there aren’t many in there.
This place served the tastiest noodle soup I've ever had. The broth had insane depth and the noodles are so fresh and amazingly textured. We waited a bit in line and it was totally worth it. It's not fancy but it's also extremely reasonably priced for what you get. It's the perfect Chinatown restaurant experience. If you like noodles and you're not pretentious (reading some of the bad reviews...) you're going to be happy. The edamame side dish was also AMAZING if you like edamame. Like most of the other reviews say, make sure to get a small bowl unless you're REALLY hungry. The portions are more than enough. The only thing they don't have is beer; and a cold beer would have really washed that soup down perfectly.
Ok. went there.. huge line up. Must be good.. right? While waiting we saw a server drop a glass on the floor, pick it up of the dirty floor..and put it back on the serving area. Then she WIPED THE GARBAGE CAN DOWN with a rag.. then used the same rag to wipe tables!! Was seated on the wall look at a brick wall covered in fuzz... hair... and total filth. Chop sticks were in a cup.. a whole pile of them.. people would grab and touch them all... they were up against the gross wall.. touching them.. (we sanitized ours after selecting a set). Again.. while waiting we saw the waitress bring back a bowl of food.. and complain to the person cooking.. after a short discussion, the cook REACHES INTO THE BOWL.. grabs some stalks of Bok Choy (or similar) and removes it from the bowl.. Waitress is now happy.. Cook puts the removed food back onto the cooking area TO BE RESERVED.. Service was ok.. food was tasty.. Price was cheap.. we did both have an upset stomach shortly after.. and that was all we ate that day... not poisoned.. but boy were we stuck at home for a while. I kept telling the wife.. its ok.. we can eat here.. it will be fine... look at the lineup... Then got the big I told you so from the wife. If you want to catch Covid.. this a tasty way to do it.... FILTHY. Gave it 2* as the food was tasty.. but.. everything else was 1* at best.. NO IDEA what the big deal is other then they making noodles in the window for tourists to see.
Very good noodles! We visited around 3 pm on a Thursday and we had to wait in line for a bit. It took a while for the food to come as well, but the noodles are handmade and you can watch them making it.I ordered the beef soup and my brother got the vegetable one. I thought the beef one was delicious, but not so much the vegetable soup. Also, it was an extremely hot day so the inside was really stuffy with no cooling, and the water wasn’t cold :(
Excellent Noodle soups and salads, home made, hand made noodles and soups. A great example of a small menu where everything we had was done incredibly well. Worth the wait. Large portions that could be shared by asking for an extra bowl or save some to take home in a doggy bag. Loved the Beef Noodle broth, the Dan Dan noodles, the Veggie Noodle soups and all of the salads. The Tea seeped egg was also an excellent addition. Recommend if you're in Chinatown or looking for a tasty meal.
Wow! What a meal. My partner got the veggie pho and I got Dan Dan noodles. Both dishes were excellent, very fresh and full of great ingredients. The Dan Dan noodles was amazing, one of the best dishes I've ever tried. Will absolutely be back here for another meal. Service was also excellent, staff very friendly and the meal was served very quickly. Id highly recommended
So tasty and comforting! Flavorful broth and great noodle. Love that you can adjust the spicy level and noodle type. I got #6 noodle which is thicker and my husband got #4 which is somewhere in the middle. The noodle is hand pulled so you get these awesome long noodle!!
Handmade noodles served through an open kitchen… an inclusive experience. Moderate prices, friendly staff and very good food.
Great food! It was a fun, tasty dining experience and my first time trying handmade noodles. Definitely recommend the potato salad! We should have gotten more to take home. FYI, none of us could finish a medium size bowl! They are huge! Oh and the egg boiled in tea...wow what a surprising treat. Excellent food!
