Great restaurant and service!We were bit concerned when the person at the front told us to go and find a spot anywhere we want, but the waiter came to us within 3 min.After ordering brought us fresh salads and garlic bread not even 1 min later.The meals very tasty and fresh. Pork souvlaki was a bit chewy, but chicken bit very tender.Parking is a bit pain in the front, so had park near the gym. However the place is easily accessible. We were there on Saturday evening and there were not many people, which is great to enjoy a night out.Highly recommended! Feels like Greece!
2022- It has come to my attention that Nostos is under new management. It is better than it was for my last visit (see below). The service was quick and friendly. We ordered a whole Greek Style Grilled Chicken, large Greek Salad and Large French Fries.We started with the salad. There was lots of cheese and veggies, that were fresh and crispy. We just added extra olive oil and salt.The chicken was really good but tiny. I even wondered if it was a whole chicken. The fries were also really good.The customers are a bit older so the place is geared for that customer base.2018 - Loud, noisy and bad service.
We recently made a Sunday night reservation and when we arrived our table was ready. Sotiri, our waiter came by quickly with water and to leave their menus. We started with a large order of Calamari ($18.50). It came with a dipping sauce and some lemon wedges and is probably one of the best prepared Calamari in the city. For our mains my wife and I chose their number # 14 special. It included a small fresh Greek salad, two Chicken gyro pitas, all dressed, delicious fries and rice. My cousins ordered 1/2 Greek style grilled Chicken ($14.00). It also came with a small Greek salad, rice and fries. She said it was very tasty and very moist. They also ordered # 11, a Pork gyro pita ($15.75) with all the same side dishes. Everything was delicious! Sotiri kept passing by to refill our water. For dessert I wanted to try their homemade Baklava ($4.50). Delicious ?. Now some very good news. Nostos was sold in October 2021 to Marlon, who had been working at Nostos for many years. Nothing has changed, the food quality is just as good as ever and all the chefs are still working there. Nostos is closed on Mondays and is open Tuesday-Sunday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. They still offer their trio lunch special from 11:00 - 4:00 pm. Enjoy.
By far, my favorite Greek restaurant! I would drive there to eat their delicious souvlaki. Everything is always fresh and customer service is also great. They also have amazing ice coffee!
Hard to judge this place as they did some things well but others not as much. The overall quality of the food was mid. The calamari had great texture but was a bit unseasoned, also was not served with any dipping sauce. The taramosalata was enjoyable along with the generous complimentary garlic bread. The menu had a great selection of items and reasonably priced drinks, and all the platters come with a nice portion of rice and fries. Although I was not a fan of their fries. The salads were okay. My gyro pita was definitely the best part but even this did not wow me. The portions are great here but the quality is overall unimpressive.
I love the calamaris at this place! But also their chicken is really good. Recommended.
Generally I don't usually have complaints about this restaurant. Have been going there for years, however on the last visit the food that was served was a let down. The plate was really packed with fries and rice and there was very little meat. It was a combo plate of chicken and pork. Both meats were dry especially the chicken which was inedible. The restaurant was packed and COVID rules weren't being followed, mostly people walking around without masks. Staff followed the rules perfectly. I'm hoping this was a oneoff and it won't change my mind to go back but hopefully management can address some of the points mentioned here.
Been enjoying the food for about 10 years now.Food - 100 percent. It's great. Nothing better.Ordering over the phone - its always so loud in there that the person taking your order can never hear you properly.Even after repeating the order back something minor is always wrong.Missing sauce, wrong salad, extra potatoes when you asked for extra rice....However, The food is worth it!
