Great experience! Came for lunch - it's a small place that packs a big punch. Constantly rotating menu keeps things exciting, this week's bento special was delicious. Highly recommend!

Amazing little hole in the wall place on Rachel. The menu is small but everything on it is good. Can't believe this place has been here for years and I've only just now found it. Highly recommend.

Amazing food! Everything was super yummy, I’ll be going back here for lunch on every trip to Montreal. If you’re in a rush make sure to order ahead for take away because there’s limited seating. We waited for a seat, it was well worth it.You know this place is good because there’s always a line of happy customers during lunch.

Honestly the best Japanese place I've had so far up here! When I came thru, it was just two amazing people running the shop, handling orders and preparing grubs. The prices were very fair for the amount of food and quality, so no complaints about that! Fellow English speakers, do not despair: like most of this city, it was easy to communicate in English or French (and I heard at least one other person use Japanese). The customer service was incredible but THE GRUBS... YUM! I've never had such solid takoyaki or okonomiyaki outside Japan before. Next time I'm here, I'll definitely be trying to onigiri. Easy 5 malcolms out of 5

Noren is absolutely fantastic. Every single thing they prepare is remarkably fresh. It’s truly like walking into an open kitchen in Japan. This place is an absolutely Montréal CAN’T MISS.

I would love to comment about the Chanko Udon, however after leaving the store I slipped on ice and dropped the food ? it looked good though ?. The only thing saved was the Sakura mochi, that was really good ?

Love Noren! Such awesome japanese food, but their hours absolutely suck!So creative and delicious. The weekly menu changes make each experience awesome and new.Good vegetarian options.

I only had an opportunity to go right before they closed and WOW. The quality of the food does not disappoint. Worth going for round 2

The place to go to if you're missing Japan. From the cozy setting to the outstanding food, this is my favourite Japanese restaurant in town, been here countless times. I first tried it shortly after a trip to Japan and was struck by how close the flavours and dishes are to what I was served there.

Stopped by to try the pork Okonomiyaki, that was SO good !Will def be back to try some more dishes on the menu! Service was super friendly!
