visited with my family. Other places were very busy for dinner and this looked OK/nice/empty. Eventually seated then completely ignored for 15 mins. Waiter then showed up holding wine menu. Said something flamboyant in French. I said sorry its got to be in English ( Canada is supposed to be a bilingual country). The guy tossed the menu on the table and walked away. No one came back for 10 mins so we upped sticks and went to the bar over the road and had a great time. Dont bother with this place unless you want to be ignored and then feel insulted. Spent 200 bucks over the road, think they deserved the business more. No wonder why it was empty. As a Canadian i was both disappointed and embarrassed to have my family from UK insulted this way. I wont be back, ever.
Popped in for dinner to the restaurant for my sister's birthday. Waited quite some time to be seated. Didn't look particularly busy. Waiting staff finally appeared to take drinks order. One party member asked for red wine, waiting staff appeared to not understand English. Went to get drinks menu and threw them on the table. After approx 10 minutes noone appeared and it didn't look likely that anyone would be coming we left. Not a very nice atmosphere. Will not be returning.
We visited Nelli Cafe 2 times in December & just returned Feb. 18th. We loved the 'cafe side' due to the decor so booked a table for 7 for a birthday to sit on that side which was confirmed. Unfortunately they couldn't accommodate us in that area when we arrived, but we ended up in a lovely booth on the other side of the restaurant. Overall food was nice; the cream of onion soup was a hit. The service was slow even though there were not many patrons. We all got our drinks at different times but the server was very friendly so we let it go. The free valet parking during lunch hours on week days was a great perk. Overall it's such a lovely restaurant and we will return!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!If I could give a lower rating than zero I would. The service is horrible!!!!!. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME. We ordered room service from this café because we were staying at the Nelligan hotel but it was bad. We had the classic breakfast and they literally cut 1/2 of 1 strawberry for each of us and we barely got any fruits. The eggs were the worst. The only thing I enjoyed about this breakfast was the apple juice. The room service(specifically for food) at this hotel is horrible!. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and waited 1h30 mins for it but it never came. Seriously people avoid them.
Vin Nature was a great cafe, Latte was amazing and very tasteful. I ordered the beef tartare, it was my first time trying beef tartare; I found it very salty and there was chives in it which took away from the flavour of the raw steak/beef.Friendly servers and a good environment for resting or chatting with friends. Not computer friendly, didnt see any charging ports anywhere. Lovely decorations and the archiecture was amazing, very fancy and good looking.
One of my favorite cafés for lunch or a drink around Montréal! The staff is so so sweet and aware. They consistently checked in with me and the waiter was so kind. The poke bowl had a unique twist to it, as it didn’t have any rice, so it’s more of a salad. A great place, not too busy in the afternoons, nice atmosphere, and good prices! Would definitely go back.
We came here after attempting to go to Tommy and seeing a very long line. There was no wait here and we were pleasantly surprised. Our breakfast were excellent and the service was great. There are dividers up between tables and tables are spaced out well.
quite honestly some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life. waited 20 minutes at the door to get a table but it was SO worth it. cute and comfy atmosphere, super friendly staff, and beautiful food. wish i lived in old mtl and could come here every day!!!!!!
We were staying at the hotel and decided to have breakfast on the spot. Super nice atmosphere and decor, cappuccino was excellent but my coup de coeur was the avocado toast OMG!!! A must, so delicious and full of flavour.
Lovely friendly staff, comfortable dining area. Food arrived at our table quickly, nice and hot and well prepared. Pleasant atmosphere, so nice to make this a stop on our latest trip to Montreal.
