I really love Mandy's food. Their menu is amazing, and all of the items I have tried have been really good. My complaint is with the service, which takes way too long for the low amount of complexity involved in preparing salads.
They saturate their salads with too much dressing. The leaves were so wet that this salad was so indelible. I had to power through the tartness overwhelming everything. I would describe this salad as opposite of fresh and better described as a “soup.” I advice folks put the dressing on the side or make it light.
I've come to this location 3 times in the past two months and while I love Mandy's, I find this specific spot to be incredibly disappointing. Their service sucks – there's no way to sugarcoat it. I have placed my order on the app all three times and have had to wait 20+ minutes more than what was stated as the time on the app. The first time the location was completely empty, and they didn't even start making my salad until I went up to the counter and asked where my pickup order was (no apology for the fact that they were just standing around). The second time I was with friends on a short lunchbreak, and we didn't have time to eat our meals before returning back to our jobs because it took 45 minutes for our order to be ready. The third time was this past week, and I waited over an hour for my app order. I went in and asked several times and there was absolutely no apology or concern – the girl even looked annoyed that I asked. There were so many people in line who were complaining and there was most definitely a staffing of kitchen issue. I sympathize with this and know that everyone is doing their very best; I just would appreciate some apology for making me wait an hour for a takeout salad that was not cheap by any means. I will not be returning to Phillips Square as I have had much more positive experiences at other locations.
The salad was good quality and tasty. However, the manager needs to retrain the young employees at the cash for customer service. I ordered online over an hour before pickup time, arrived on time for pickup and went to the cash to ask if my order was ready. They told me to just wait by the side to receive it. 30 minutes later, I still hadn't received my order and asked again. They then went to look at the counter near the door at the back and said "oh we didnt realize but your order was already sitting there" with barely a sorry. During the 30 minutes of waiting, no one asked me what or when I had ordered. Also the girl at the cash wasn't friendly whatsoever. Overall a subpar experience
Incredibly delicious, bursting with flavour. We ordered the R & D Salad and I would order this again. The mix of ingredients drizzled with their balsamic dressing was out of this world. One order was enough for two people. Can’t wait to go there again. Kudos to the employees for their attention to detail
Ordered The R&D Salad, enough for 2 or 3 people. Absolutely incredible, loved all of it. Would recommend going and would go again. Cannot wait for my next Montreal visit!.
I love Mandy’s as an establishment but this location could do better. I added bacon and turkey to my Wolfe salad which increased my bill by $6. Got home to find that no bacon or turkey was added at all. It was a real downer for a Monday afternoon.With tax, I basically paid $25 for a salad that was missing the protein I asked for. Scrolling through reviews shows me this is not a unique experience.Double check your salads before you leave this location.
This is the second time it's happened and if I could I would give zero star's. As a group at my work we placed an order for delivery it took over 2 hours after an order was placed for 4 salads for them to be prepared and when it arrived it wasn't even the right order. It was for someone else who only ordered one salad. We tried calling the restaurant multiple times and nobody every answered. This is completely ridiculous and we will never order from there again
Went in person and ordered the endless summer salad without pomegranate seeds. I got home and noticed the mock tamari chicken was completely absent from my salad. For 16$ It was very disappointing as that was the protein of my meal.
I came here to pick up a salad bowl. I chose the Habibi which was filling as it has both lettuce and quinoa as a base plus veggies and feta cheese with a flavourful vinaigrette. This location of Mandy's has no seating area. It is really tiny! But indoor dining is closed right now in Quebec anyways! this is a 5 mins. walk from the VIA rail station and I am so glad I got my meal here to eat on the train. The train station has McDonald's, Tim Horton's, and a few other options but Mandy's makes for a much more nutritious choice. In the summer, you could pick up your meal here and then go eat in the park. They also sell soups and drinks, as well as their cookbook and salad dressings. You can order ahead on their app/website if you don't want to wait.
