I'm writing a review to remind myself NEVER to order from it again. None of the fish I ordered was fresh enough. At this level you'd better off just buying sushi shop. The rice is too sticky for making sushis, and maki's seaweed is soggy, it feels like if you make your own sushi at home. actually even I made better makis. The quality really doesn't match the price.Seriously where do you even get your scallops?! I can get fresher ones from the Atwater market fish store! Can't believe this get pass over 4 stars on Google map.
***Update for initial review: After posting my honest review (see below), I have been insulted multiple times by the owner of the place, have screenshots to prove**Very unreliable place. It is obvious that most of the 5 star reviews are fake, as was explained in one of the real reviews before! They get advantage that there is no other descent sushi place around, so they do what thy want..one day you wait two hours for your food. Another day they take your money and make you wait to find out that they are simply closed earlier that day, all of a sudden. The quality is just mediocre , but they act like they bring down the light to the neighborhood.
It is a beautiful place,The grafiti art on the wall is simply stunning! And I appreciated that someone working there mentionned who the artist was when I said it looked beautiful. The service was nice and efficient; the menu is varied and they have both Qr and Paper versions of it.The food was tasty/flavorful and the presentation was pretty!Buuuut the billing was a little off...
Had the pleasure of ordering from Le Kioko last Saturday while visiting my sister in Montreal. LOVED the food! Fresh; stunning flavours of all the fresh food satisfied each and every one of us!!! We will definitely be going back again and again!
my friend got insulted by the owner after complaining that our order was never delivered. That is the service you get from this restaurant
One of the best sushis ive ever been to ! 100% recommend
Delicious food, always fresh, tasty and pretty. The fish is always of the best quality I've been coming here for years and it just keeps getting better. Portions are decent and pricing is honest. Kioko is my go to for sushi in the neighbourhood and on the whole island. Definitely recommend the 33 pcs sushi platter and the sashimi plate. You will not be disappointed!
I’ve read other reviews of this restaurant after trying le Kioko’s sushi and I must say that my experience was great : fresh sushi, lovely staff and restaurant. You cant please everyone thats for sure but if youre looking for the BEST sushi in town, look no further! This truly is the place.
We ordered a take-out mixed platter from here. The sashimi was not fresh (literally smelled fishy) but the maki rolls were excellent. Please pay attention to the quality of your fish!
One of Montreal's finest. Highly recommended.
